Make sure your 360's IP address is static and then set that address as the DMZ on your router which should permanently open all your ports. Make sure you turn off all port-forwarding too.
Ignore the moron who suggested an intercooler or wifi adapter, neither will help at all.
A lot of these games are new series without a large established fanbase, thus nobody really knows what to expect from them (look at Kane and Lynch or Blacksite). They might be great but nobody's sure so there's a lot of wait and see.
A lot of the others have much smaller fanbases, meaning there isn't a lot of hype generated from the community (a la Halo 3, Rainbow Six Vegas 2).
Some of the others are from developers without deep pockets meaning they're not paying to skin Gamespot with ads.
Perhaps most important is that a lot of gamers are still in aftershock from the ridiculous holiday season (I still haven't played Bioshock). To be honest Turok really snuck up on me (not that I was particularly excited after Evolution), we didn't spend muh time looking past Christmas. Most people are really only focused on the big games like GTA4 and R6V2.
Personally I'd love to get hyped about Army of Two, co-op shooters are my favourite kind of gaming (I loved games like Halo 1/2/3 and SWAT 4 just for the co-op aspect), but I'm still worried that it might be very below average. I hope I'm wrong though.
Wired is faster (up to 100 megabits/second as opposed to 54), although your internet connection will never be that fast anyways so that's mostly a non-issue unless you're streaming movies or something. Wired is also WAY more reliable, especially if our wireless router isn't great. If you can use wired without the cables being intrusive then you should (I ran cat6 ethernet cables through the walls to all the rooms in my house a long time ago, something you should always consider if you're renovating).
There are a million reasons why your adapter might not be working well. Lots of things could interfere, home phones, microwaves, neighbour's network, new radio tower in your area, etc.
Describe the "problem" related to your compuer, just saying there's a problem won't help anyone diagnose it.
The issue is that console makers have to heavily limit access to things like game mods or else they end up with modded consoles and can't sell any games. If you look at the issues PC game makers have with pirated copies, would you want to open that up to consoles.
Of personal importance to me is that when you allow things like game mods you end up with game hacks (look at Counter-Strike). I like the safe, competetive environment where for the most part everyone is playing on an even level.
That said, I do like what Bungie has done with their new forge oriented map and the options it provides.
