I can see why it's been called the best Dragon Ball game in a long time. With a mind as genius as Toriyama's, the only cliche is not including more race options to choose for your character. There's bound to be, but hey, no game is perfect. I'd love if I could get to be a Yardrat ( the species Goku encountered after beating Frieza ), but since that's not likely I'll be Namekian. :)

Anyway, this post is for Xenoverse players to show off their Z fighters. Somehow I don't think I'll see a lot of humans. Damn, it's all Krillin's fault...lol

Whoookay.

I've never played Resident Evil before, but I'm looking for a new online zombie killing pass time since I got bored with Black Ops. Black Ops II's zombie mode just seems kind of cliched for a number of reasons, mainly 'cause the matches seem to drag on in more con ways than pro ones. Plus, I can't absorb how you have two teams, there's undead trying to kill you, and said sides try to sabotage each other with BUTTERFLIES?!? Maybe it's for comical effect, but I don't get it.

Anyway, I've heard about the Resident Evil franchise for as long as I can remember, and I know about how in recent years it's started going REALLY downhill. I hear 6 sucks, so I'm naturally assuming Operation: Raccoon City is what I'm looking for. Unless I'm wrong somehow.

Could someone fill me in?

Not gonna lie, Order 66 is my favorite plot point in Star Wars. If there's gonna be any spin off of the series focusing on the last of the Jedi, it should be a video game courtesy of LucasArts, either fighting or RPG-ish.

But I think the latter concept would be better. The game should be an Elder Scrolls / Fallout-scale open world thing, where you get to play as an original character from one of a dozen species and train as a Jedi under Purge survivors within the canon ( i.e. Yoda, K'Kruhk, Obi-Wan, Quinlan Vos, etc ).

Would anyone give this game a try if it existed? It'd have to have bigger quality than the first Force Unleashed. Not the second one though, I hear it sucked.

I'm pretty sure she'll be a romance option. :)

So any thoughts on her? She's the new turian female squadmate in Andromeda. Her backstory's that of your typical sci-fi hired gun, but knowing Mass Effect she's got more to her. Plus she's really sexy. ( Don't judge. )

Below's a clear game screenshot and some cute fan art.

Is it really as supremely difficult as game guides say it is? I've played both 3 and New Vegas. I can understand why people call NV the "broken" Fallout, I beat it but my ending sucked ( didn't have the patience to save the mutants in Jacobstown, I wasn't able to kill Benny, etc ). 3, on the other hand, is more diverse in terms of side quests, characters, and factions, but DAMN it's hard. One of the main lessons I learned from playing as the Lone Wanderer was to always have a Fat Man on me.

The only thing I know about 4 ( besides the main quest ) is that the gameplay is like Skyrim's. The more you try a skill, the better you get at it. So I don't see how it's harder than 3 and NV combined.

Could someone fill me in? Difficult or not, this'll be the first game I get once I buy a One.

Whether it's video games or anything else, I think monster characters with personalities and good depth often experience social isolation for reasons that aren't their faults. It's the simple fact that they're otherworldly / inhuman creatures that they get tomatoes thrown at them or threatened with death. That is, if they AREN'T malevolent and included in games. :(

A mindless creature trying to kill you is something different from what I'm talking about. The industry is so foolish that they won't try to see the lighter side of how monsters CAN be just as human as they are often evil. I wanna step into the freakin' claws, hooves, talons, or tasty pterodactyl toes of a MONSTER already! ( Forgive me when I say tasty; I'm weird like that ).

Anyway, I've done two posts already asking about games where you play as something completely freakish, and I really appreciate the recommendations. This post is just to blast the status quo on how xenophobic and close-minded companies like Activision and Epic are. Games where you can be a different creature...or in my case, just FREE - are extremely hard to come by. Every time I go into a GameStop and ask about these type of titles, all they have is Alien Vs Predator. Like, literally.

I identify as a monster. Not saying I'm otherkin ( that's a whole other level of something else ), but I often draw myself as a tentacled green alien w/ spiky hair and slit-pupil eyes on the sides of my head. I really wouldn't mind looking like that. The industry basically fails with making games where you see through another species' eyes. I say "shame on them" as a customer. :(

This is the whole reason I downloaded Unity. If the status quo is "all video game player characters MUST be human brown-haired thirty-something white guys with guns," then I'm making my own games that I would play. Trust me, it's starting out difficult but I downloaded Unity by name 'cause it's been called the easiest engine.

I just wish for once in video games, I could feel like a man. And not the kind of man you'd expect. :(

Just to point out: Alternative means not Marvel or DC. They've already had their fair share of console adaptions. I mean titles from Image, Dark Horse, Action Lab etc.

There's plenty of indie graphic novels out there that would be amazing games. The industry is loosing originality, so why not? :)

Here's a few titles I've read that'd do great on the One or PS4:

- Orc Stain by James Stokoe. It's set in this lush, trippy fantasy world filled with Tolkien's signature monsters. The main character is an orc thief named One-Eye, and he's evading capture from an evil emperor who wants him to unlock a safe to fulfill a prophecy. This series ended abruptly after the seventh issue, but it'd be better with an ending fit for the Big Two systems. Maybe even the Vita. The gameplay would have to involve you seeking sanctuary as One-Eye, moving from tribe to tribe and cracking open safes with his hammer.

- Planetoid by Ken Garing. It's the story of a space pirate named Silas who crash-lands on an alien world and is being hunted by robots similar to Mass Effect's Reapers. This'd be amazing on the Big Two consoles w/ the same graphics as Horizon Zero Dawn and other titles that look ridiculously real. Good thing Morgan Freeman dropped the plan to make this a movie.

- Saga by Brian K. Vaughan. This series is a mega-favorite among female readers, and is basically General Hospital: In Space. This would have to strictly be an RPG, since it's a space opera in ways like Star Wars and in more ways it's not.

- Elephantmen by Richard Starkings. This is a very hard sci-fi neo noir series centered on a team of genetically engineered African wildlife animals. It's one of Image's longest running series. If this were a game, it'd have to be just as character-driven as the comic, and have loads of sleek badass action. Not to mention the background music would basically be synth.

So any thoughts? What indie comic do you think would be a great game?

@yammireckorrdsan: No offense but that's not a game I'm looking for. The main character is completely human and looks like Pretty Boy fanservice. *puke*

I meant a game where you're a samurai AND an ugly as f*** monster. Imagine if Himura Kenshin looked like Godzilla or Bigfoot, and that's basically what I'm talking about.
