[QUOTE="F1Lengend"]this game is pretty much guaranteed 9.5 here at gamespot. the only possible contenders are mass effect, galaxy or some pc game i don't know/cant afford dvader654
Yep it will get a 9.5, might as well not even give it a score, we know what it will be.
For GS I do think Bioshock will be the GOTY unless GTA, Mass Effector Crysis just blows everything away, I dont think any other game is a true contender on this site.
But across the gaming media landscape I expect a bunch of games to get an award somewhere, there will be a lot of games that are award worthy.
I don't often do stuff like this, but I'm going to just come out and say it. Mass Effect won't live up to its hype, Crysis is already a new bar in terms of graphical presentation, but won't be anything especially spectacular beyond that, and GTAVI will be somewhat of a letdown. BioShock is definitely the best looking game, currently, of that bunch. Things can change, considering the three above mentioned games all come out later than BioShock. They could shape up, from now until their releases. But I'm still going to hold out for what I just said.
Shame-us and scarecrow, did you see the MGS4 gameplay from tuesday, this is great but I still give the edge to the MGS4 in terms of overall wow factor with gameplay and such. But yes visually this game beats it down.

I did see the MGS4 footage, and it was impressive as well. But, for me, MGS has always been a little underwhelming from a gameplay standpoint. The story, setting, characters, plot, visuals, voice acting, and music all sort of overshadow the gameplay for me.The above aspects always create such a cohesive presentation, and I feel itwas always lost a little bit when it came to actually controlling Snake. Further, all the new maneuvers that Snake is doing in this MGS4 footage recently shown, all seem a little complicated. I feel the learning curve is going to be pretty steep, in being able to pull off a lot of the cool little tricks available to you now. And once again, because of that difficulty, the gameplay is simply not a grand as the cutscenes and such. The gameplay has never quite lived up to its surrounding parts in the series, however, and I've come to accept that.

I'm getting a little off-topic, I guess.
I don't feel that any company in general "won" E3, because all said and done, nothing has really changed now that the show is over. Microsoft showed us games that we'll be playing before year-end, not showing anything new, or dropping their price. Nintendo showed us how "happy" Reggie and the gang are, after their Wii success, and they want gamers to workout more. Sony dropped their price, and then discontinued that model, while showing off some decent games for the future.
Nothing spectacular about any of the companies showings. The games still look good. That's what matters.
