5 might be a little harsh, but its not surprising they weren't able to make a game on the level of Forza or GT. It takes a ton of time and money developing a good racing game. There is no other genre with the intricate level of physics that can make each car unique, not to mention the AI programming needed to respond , but still remain on the track. Forza and GT have a long line of games that have been updated and tweaked over the years. This is not an easy genre to break into.

Meh... scores are arbitrary. If I read the review without looking at the score, I would have guessed a 9/10. The scores are the reviewer's overall impression of a game and 8 is pretty darn good.

It is probably the gamma settings. IMHO the differences are so very minute that they are all essentially equal.

The demo was awesome. I really wanted the game before playing it. Now I really really want the game.

AI is a million times better in DR3 than it was in DR2. You don't have to constantly check to see if people are still following you.

Still DR3 isn't going to win any GoTY awards, but a 3/10 is not a fair score. The reviewer let his personal prejudices against the game affect the score. The original XBOX review of 7/10 is a better score.

Don't let Nick review the next Saints Row. DR3 is tame by comparison.

Games like this are offensive for the sake of being offensive. If you really went into DR3 expecting something else you really had no validity in the first place. People read reviews on sites such as GS to see if the game was any fun, if it was buggy, or if it was too short/long. Gamers know DR. It isn't a new IP. Gamers knew DR3 would be offensive before it ever hit the XBOX One. They knew it when they heard DR3 announced. This review is like saying the sky is up without telling me if it is going to rain. You hit the obvious without diving into the details.

So you were offended by the game, I get that, but have a sense of humor. How many here were offended by Kenny; a raving lunatic fanboy? How many Americans were offended by Darlene; an obvious take on obesity and the American buffet? I was not offended for one bit.
