Latency bad on wired? Man, wireless has no hope. I would have liked to see your review, but the embedded videos don't work right on Firefox with Flashblock. On most sites (including YouTube), I can click the F logo and the video loads. Here it has already loaded the "cannot play" tile and there is no way to reload the video. Can you please fix this?

PS Now needs a subscription service for $15/month. Right now it seems to me it would be cheaper to get a used PS3 and find used games on the cheap, then you build a library you can play anytime. You will still have access to Netflix, etc as well. I like the concept, but the implementation and cost of PS Now might kill it.

Probably very similar. Most multiplat games are almost exactly the same between consoles. PC may be different, but the negatives mentioned (storyline, save point issues, bosses) most likely won't change from platform to platform.

"I gave Destiny a positive score because, despite it's "failure", my friends and I still had a heck of a lot of fun playing it together. "

And that's exactly what I love about Borderlands...

Agreed... I am in no way finished playing BL games, not by a long shot. Still, this should be a cheaper game. I get it, they have to develop new tech to support the new consoles (new engine primarily) and those things take time, but it is shorter than BL2 with less interesting characters (according to the review), yet it doesn't cost any less than BL2 was at launch. If this were $20 cheaper, it might warrant a buy, but I am not dropping $60 on it.

Its Borderlands, which was never great at much... the stories all fall flat, the characters don't really develop except for maybe the main villain, the graphics are cell shaded and are far from revolutionary, the sound effects are OK, the shooting mechanics aren't that good... so why do I get so hooked on them? The first two are a huge amount of fun especially with friends. This one, though... I thought it wasn't going to be full priced because it isn't a full game. It is shorter than BL2, uses the same engine and mechanics, and is more like a gigantic expansion. I might consider it for $30... maybe $40, but they lost me trying to charge $60. It isn't even on the new gen consoles (not that it would matter since BL does not need the graphics power)

The difference is BL is coop. What other major coop FPS franchises are there? Army of two?

Thank you for proving a point I made earlier. A perfect 10 game is the game for a very long time. We had variations on Tetris, but the original was always the best. Basically making B2 a 10/10 means we will never need a B3.

Well, I guess I am part of the minority then. It was probably more of the camera and weird "cuteness" that I couldn't get past.

I prefer Polygon's review. GS went into praising the game so much that they didn't even think to list the negatives, like a game where the characters clothes come off the better you play. This wouldn't normally be a bad thing, but on a console that has been marketed relentlessly for kids, it is not a good thing. That author's interpretation of the online play was interesting as well. I am not saying it is a bad game, but it should be more like a 9. Look at the critic reviews on Metacritic and even the Nintendo sites gave it a 9/10.
