I personally don't, not a whole lot anyways. I work in an accounting office, use quickbooks and excel mainly. Its a small office with only 3 employees (new small business) and with no co-workers to talk to its pretty boring. The work itself is empty and draining and i feel unfulfilled, but its w/e. I do it because its my best choice at the moment.Â

Agreed on the university research that most people have presented. I go to a community college so it's less demanding in terms of research. But im sure if i went to a big University id have to go the library to research some things.
In terms of CDs, its all about MP3's now. I bought a CD player in 02 and by 04/05 it was completely worthless. I don't really listen to music on the go anymore but if i did i would use my cellphone with MP3 capability or buy an Ipod. CD's look like they will soon be going the way of vinyl and cassettes.
When i was younger, i used to go to libraries all the time for research. Nowadays i just type my topic in google and i get my research done right there and then. I still go to read books for fun, im talking about in terms of research.
Same with newspapers. EG I used to check the paper for sports scores when i was younger (didnt have cable when younger so no ESPN). Nowadays i just go to nfl.com or mlb.com and check the scores there if i miss anything.
So, what do you guys think? Agree, disagree? Will the internet make our old ways obsolete soon enough?
So i live in Canada and am supposed to be taking a licensing exam for mutual funds tommorow (called IFIC or CIFC). It's a special appointment at my school, held by my professor and the head of the financial planning department. Anyways i was kind of nervous about it and was thinking of cancelling (im not ready for it, and even though i have 3 tries i dont want to just waste one). So i email him last night asking its possible to cancel and he replies...nope. Thats all he said.
Basically my question is, is it possible to cancel licensing exams 1-2 days before taking it? Does anyone know anything about it or similar to this issue?
[QUOTE="raghavan"]What? What kind of interviews do you usually go to? If they are significantly less than 30 minutes they definately see that they already dont want you and end it early. Its for a bank teller position over the phone...basically call center at the bank.
All my job interviews before have been for summer jobs. Not anymore...
Supposedly its 45 minutes- an hour long too...how on earth is an interview supposed to be 45 minutes??
diped
Wear nice cloths, thinking about answers to questions, sound intelligent, and ask them some good questions. Show an interest.
Ive only interviewed for summer jobs before. Never for a position that could turn into a full-time job. My interviews have only lasted 10 minutes, so im not used to a long interview..just made me nervous.
BTW, thanks for the advice to everyone. It's really helpful. I certainly appreciate it.

Well, does it?
I've recently started eating apples (and fruit in general) more often. Before i just used to have fruit juices (apple, orange..)
Now i eat the real thing and its delicious. I routinely eat apples, very good and sweet.
