@MrMisanthrope This is the most important distinction that I've seen constantly left out of the stories around the net chronicling Goldfarb's journey. I'm not certain who the actual lead designer for the multiplayer of the base BF3 game is, but I've seen the names Lars Gustavsson, Alan Kertz, and Niklas Fegraeus having that title. There's probably a different lead for each expansion.
I'm not sure many folks think of the singleplayer first when someone mentions BF3.
@warhawk-geeby It's "doing the disappearing act" because it's a Rockstar North title, who is also the proper GTA studio. If they could only focus their A-team(s) on one of those games, it would be GTA5. After that comes out, we'll probably hear something about Agent, if at all.
By "skipping" you mean "will not be showing anything to the public". They'll definitely be there, just like they were last year (as evidenced in EA's BF3 all day livestream event, where a couple dudes in Respawn shirts were filmed playing the demo, and the host being hilariously unaware of who Respawn was).
3DS still doesn't have crap outside of Japan, unless you count games from the N64 era or before. Mine's been a total waste of a money so far, especially since I bought it at release. I really should have either saved my money or just bought a Vita instead, but I was afraid of an intentional 3DS shortage like what happened with the Wii.
It seems Mr. Yu failed to mention the apparant concave circle encompassing both the d-pad and face buttons, allowing the slight inset of each. I hope the 3000 gets custom firmware quickly. I still have a fat PSP that is showing its age. I'm excited about the new screen... too bad the video out still isn't capable of digital video or VGA.
I'm willing to bet that once this comes out, all Wiimotes sold afterward will have it bundled or built-in. I've been hoping for something like this for a while now... just when I give up and assume it will be coming with the next console, the functionality is introduced to current hardware as a peripheral. I'll be picking up one or two of these. EDIT: And to those of you who assume Nintendo will require everybody purchase one to play future Wii games: have they done so before for the various addons they've previously released for their consoles? No. That fear is completely irrational. Rumble PAK was mentioned but they also had the RAM upgrade for the console that could give some games a boost in speed or resolution. And before that, they had the super scope and zapper, and almost all games that made use of one allowed you to play with a standard controller also.
