Expect a release date soon. Late October is the end/beginning of a Rockstar fiscal quarter, and those times of the year are usually when they do things like drop information/trailers and release games or DLC.

@Printul_Noptii @TacoTuesdays Nah PS2 pads aren't a good idea for a lot of newer games due to the lack of analog in the L2/R2 buttons. However I use my PS3 controller all the time on my PC and plan to get a WiiU Pro controller for it as well.

And it's not just casual console players that think that. It's also the curmudgeonly stubborn PC fundamentalists who believe that a game is ALWAYS better with M+K no matter what, even when it's clearly worse (such as with Dark Souls). Luckily both groups are fading out.

@Dumachum @Marky360 You only speak for yourself. As a PC gamer I was looking forward to the Dark Souls port for a long time. Literally calendar counting. And apparently a LOT of other PC gamers were as well judging from the post release support the community has given the game. Again, stop giving PC gamers a bad name. You have been excommunicated.

@saintsrowCS @mediarays @berserker66666 But not to the point where the game is spoiled, like what happened to many of us GTAforums regulars when GTA4 came out. It is my responsibility to make sure I don't ruin the surprises in the final game; and as a "true GTA fan" I can be trusted to feed myself information about as much as an addict can be trusted behind the counter at a pharmacy.

@ClobberinTyme It doesn't seem crazy to think it might come out as a dual-generational game, IF both it and new consoles come out in 2013. Remember back in 2005 and 2006 when there were a few games that came out on both PS2/Xbox as well as on 360? And if it doesn't ever come out on the next gen consoles, then they'll surely put it out on PC instead.

@bobopendagrass What are you on about? Red Dead Redemption would have looked just about this good if it was set in modern times. Notice how most don't show far distances, and those that do have very muddy textures at range. This is very clearly current generation consoles powering these screens.

Looks like the dude on the balcony in the trailer is the guy flying the jet. Seems like confirmation for him being at least one of the protagonists.

@sirkibble2 I think he means more open and giving the player options on how to advance. Think about what Starbreeze games tend to offer in terms of gameplay that the Battlefield singleplayer didn't.

BF3 SP is a by-the-numbers linear ride. Shoot the dude in the head before he shoots you in the head, move to the next point, throw in the occasional turret sequence, and repeat for five to seven hours. Riddick and the original Darkness and Syndicate encourage you to take on your encounters in different ways and have fun with your approach.
