Just because they can't make the content work as DLC doesn't necessarily mean they can't make it work in a standalone GOTY/Complete edition that has all the post-release content embedded in the base game. And chances are that by the time it comes out, they'll have released the third $20 DLC, but the entire package would cost the standard $60. Meaning PS3 players might have to buy the base game again to get the new content, but it would cost the same as buying all three main DLCs upon release on PC or 360.

Of course that is all speculation. But it certainly seems to be the current pattern for games with heavy DLC support.

@popplayer22 @thedarklinglord GTA4 has the best driving in an open world action game to date. I wonder how many people don't use the right-thumbstick while driving. Looking the direction you're about to turn ends up being a really good idea when you're trying to navigate a street without hitting shit and flipping over.

@gamingfrendly @Blitzk13g @gamergath GTA4 is a different universe. The characters in previous GTA games never existed in this universe, therefore they cannot be dead, per se. That graffiti is just an easter egg referencing the previous games. Not some sort of deep insight into the fate of the previous protagonists, implying that it's the same Liberty City, or anything like that.

@deadpeasant It would also be good if they made the functions on the specialty vehicles functional again. Like working the forks on the forklift, or lowering the ramp on the car carriers. I'm still dumbfounded that you can't do stuff like this in GTA4.

Please tell me you can use two handed guns without having to get off the quad-bike.

Probably just a front. No companies that make actual products locate themselves to Las Vegas unless there's something shady they need to hide.

@ozdarkhorse @Tremblay343 The people who pirate things weren't going to pay for them anyway. Nobody says "I can afford this game, but I'll steal it instead. **** the developers."

At worst they say "I'll pirate it to see how it runs on my machine then buy it if I like it" then never end up buying or finishing the game.

Also this is at the very tail end of the generation. So unless they're ALSO going to release it for Durango and Orbis, then people buying after 2014 will be buying almost exclusively on PC once everybody puts away their PS3 and 360.

They don't want to release simultaneously because of these reasons.

RDR was the only main game from this generation that didn't make it to PC, unless you count Midnight Club LA, which nobody does. If there was a single game that I wouldn't have expected to come out on PC, it was LA Noire. But since even that did, I'm going to have to expect a PC release of GTA5 down the road.
