Yes, it's Ubisoft's cash cow and I can understand financially why they need to keep pumping them out, but the games end suffering as a result. I'm partly to blame, because I keep buying them every year. I'm a sucker for them. I love Assassin's Creed, but I don't love all the glitches and control issues. Unity is my breaking point. That game is beyond frustrating.

Honestly, why did they change the combat system? Why can't I chain kill anymore? Now, when I'm surrounded by five guards, I don't even want to fight them anymore because it's not fun. I can't tell where and when the guards off-screen are going to hit me. The freerunning I can tell they tried to improve, but it's still a whole world of mess. Shadow of Mordor had it right. With Unity, I'm still struggling trying to get Anor to go up or even simply drop from a damn ledge. Don't even get me started on the companion app...

Personally, I would be happy not having an Assassin's Creed for the next three years. Enough is enough already. Do you know why Assassin's Creed 2 is considered to be the best in the series? Because it took a few years to make after the first. I want to see this series shine again, and it can't if Ubisoft keeps making them so quickly.

Who else feels this way?

I feel you, I stopped while playing 3 I couldn't even get past the beginning DLC, too many cutscenes, I seriously walked from one cut scene to the next, in a cutscene, and man were they boring, a lot of history I don't care about neither do I remember. I use to love these games and was a sucker for their black friday deals, but I hate when games release every year, it take the replay value out for me, and make the whole series, and storyline seem rushed. I loved AC 2 and never, and prob never ever go back to it because there are 5 other ACs out now what's the point? Why buy? Shouldn't you just rent to save money because the new one is coming, and thats a fact. I'd figure people catch on and Ubisoft lose money, but thats me.

@che5568: On the cover, or online you can look up the ratings, games like these don't have much bad language, but yea 14 going into highschool? He probably already knows a few, and will know a lot more out in the real world. My aunt censored her kids, didn't let them watch the simpsons, pg-13 movies, and all sorts of weird things, and they grew up fine, but different. Never left the house, still living at home. So protected from the real world they never really learned, or gain the street knowledge, or social skills to do anything outside of their home.

I got bored at 3, never made it past the DLC, heard black flag was amazing, and Unity was broken, still just over the whole AC. A new one will be released every year like COD, makes it not worth buying, because by time I am ready to even play it for the second time thru a new one releases.

I would say Witcher 3, or Batman, but I saw they released Samuri warriors 4 for the PS4, and I may try to find that, but I have so many games to still complete, GTA 5, Dragons dogma, Witcher 2, and more.

If I was Sony, or MS, I'd order a hit, and make commercials, and hide dead lizards all around, so they know its coming. F*cking bastards, I had my little time off from work, and they ruined my gaming time, F*ckers. Online only games is a horrible idea. Even NBA2k15 having the online solo mode is a bad idea, I couldn't play that as well.

I don't understand. I am a physical gamer. That's just how people like me do things. If you want to download your games that's fine. But why do you care what other people do? Why can't Sony or MS have both options like now? Why do you want the consoles to have only one option? I don't understand.

Sounds like you have been talking to some straight up A$$holes!

I think it's repulsively bland, unoriginal and utterly boring, with no hint of any kind of inspiration anywhere

Interesting, but what if one hasn't played other horror games such as resident evil or silent hill?

The phrase "there's a sucker born every minute" exists for that reason

So you mean to say that even if I've never played any resident evil games or similar - then you STILL wouldn't recommend this game?

I thought I was pretty clear the first two times, but I'll try to elaborate

If the indication how absolutely soulless and faceless the game is isn't enough, yeah I wouldn't recommended it in any scenario; because of its bad level design, horrible boss design, entirely ham-fisted stealth system, stitched together horror elements borrowed from other games with no clear theme as well as the complete misunderstanding of the genre, with zero self-awareness or parody which would've otherwise saved it.

And if you ask me would I recommend it to a person who hasn't played Resident Evil 4 before? No, I would not; I'd say that person should play Resident Evil 4 instead, which by all means the superior game in every way

I have not played any of the resident evil games since 1 or 2 when I was younger I will try, but I disagree with your "utterly boring" comment/review. I bought this game for my fiancee, on black friday for 25. I jumped in on the hard parts, and ended up playing side by side, to even pushing her aside to beating it. This had a good story, gunplay, upgrades, and boss fights. I don't want to give away spoilers, but replay will be fun as well. Everyone has their right to their own opinions, but I disagree with your, and I've played 100s of games, this one is underrated because of people like you. This game is definitely recommendable, and it sounds a little more like you have a grudge, or some sort of biased opinion about this game.

I just beat the evil within, and thought this was an amazing game. Its the only game I played on the side while playing DA:I. I think this game is underrated, and should have got a game of the month, or even a shot at game of the year. My pick of course is DA:I, but Evil within has a good story, is fun, has a high replay value, great graphics, great mechanics, and is scary as hell. P.T was the scariest game (demo) I ever played, but Evil within had its moments, and made me even get frustrated to not wanting to play just because i was scared. I truly enjoyed this game and highly recommend it with your loved ones.

Though Ryan is a good pick, I don't get why so many people like this guy. I've seen him in maybe 2 good movies, and he acts the same in every movie. I use to like him until green latern, and RIPD.
