I'm glad I didn't break down and get the PS3 version

Be very glad, though it has been patched to playable it was inferior to the 360 version. Plus you get the Nintendo costumes. Great deal.

I know I am loving it, I bought my Wii U especially for bayonetta 2 and I had to sell my copy of Bayo 1 last summer when I got sick and had to find a place to live, so this is the best news.

As a big fan of the first two games I have given up on this one. Even if it is not vaporware and eventually releases I don't expect much. These kinds of development times never add up to anything good, and the delays over the years( yes years, remember this was announced at the beginning of the PS3's lifecycle) were always about substandard quality, people leaving the project, etc.

I am really not holding out much hope of it ever releasing, or of it being good if it does.

Yes and No. I would say steam lucked out and happened to be the vehicle of the PC resurgence, but as an open platform with infinite potential and better gear for cheaper prices if it was not steam it would have been something else.

I would agree somewhat on the DD point, I don't think as much as it pushed it and more with the prices made it cheaper and more convenient.

On the idea of knowing to a degree what you are getting, Rise of the Tomb Raider. As for if it is as good as the potential of what they have shown I have to say No Mans Sky.

@Heirren:

While I somewhat agree, one of the reasons I still like morrowind so much even though its dated, things were different. However if Nintendo can pull off their usual charm and polish, with the scope and openness, it truly will be the greatest Zelda ever.

No I don't. I do not mind violence, even when its just for violence sake. as long as I have other options also. If the game is good is what matters to me.

I was more impressed by that than anything else at this years E3, I have been researching as much as I can since, and if they succed at even half of their ambition I will get lost it in it for months. Of course I am a pretty big sci fi nerd, and hope it really is that seamless.

Im split. I usually do not care for competitive MP but the style and objectives make me think this will breed more good hearted fun than teabagging and name calling, maybe making me want to play online......then I remember its on ninty's machine, not exactly a recipie for success in the online multiplayer world.

The only product in the FPS space I was excited for was the Chief collection, and lets be honest besides some paint jobs and online multiplayer reproducing the original engines, not exactly what I would call new.
