All I know is if they can pull off a true open world ( and that means living, not lots of empty space) but keep the polish that usually comes with a Nintendo game, this will be one of the best games ever made.

Bad idea. As year of the snake pointed out, while you rarely need the tablet to play, you need it to run the machine a lot of the time, not just settings. Seriously....bad idea.
I am pretty sure the answer is no. The only way to do it would be bots and that would suck. the game is uniquely crafted to be a team against the beast, and was built specifically for that.
I like the open world idea, a good way to evolve. That said I am a metal gear fan so I am sure I would find something to like regardless.
And this is no reflection on my personal opinion on the matter, but I think it has something to do with any group getting upset when an outside source trys to tell them what they should be doing.
I was more impressed by that than anything else at this years E3, I have been researching as much as I can since, and if they succed at even half of their ambition I will get lost it in it for months. Of course I am a pretty big sci fi nerd, and hope it really is that seamless.
Could you imagine if Mass effect had those flight mechanics, it would be the ultimate sci fi game!
That would be kind of sweet.
I plan on getting a PS4 and X1 next year, I wanted to see more stable hardware options (such as X1 with no Kinect), no RROD or YLOD situations, and enough games that are not split resources between two gens. I think all that has come to pass so I will see what my money situation is by the end of the year ( I am disabled) and try to get them as soon as possible, with the PS4 first.
@ewalthour:
Maybe because you are mistaking violence for blood and gore, they are two very different things. Batman is very violent except for in camp versions, and just because its bloodless there is still something very violent about drake killing enough enemies to compete with genocidal war criminals. I find his behavior and acceptance of it a lot more disturbing and played straight than MK where the blood and gore are over the top, but next round or match and me or my enemy are as good as new.
In the batman comics though it is largely off panel I have seen the joker beat Jason Todd to death with a crowbar and an explosion, which lasted for years, and paralyze Barbara Gordon which also changed the character forever, a lot more violent than the fantasy gore of MK.
I am actually kind of happy with that, its the one core Nintendo series that has not been milked to hell and back, and I would rather they have something seriously good when they do to wash away the taste of other M.
It looks pretty last gen, even for the Wii U. Hopefully they'll polish it up. Gameplay looks interesting, but for now, I doubt I'll buy it.
This, the only thing setting it apart is being a Wii U exclusive, if this was on the other consoles it would just be another been there done that title from what I have seen.
