They probably couldn't see each other because Hello Games hasn't rendered characters yet. Has anyone seen themselves yet? I wouldn't be surprised if someone looked at a pool of water or their reflection and seen nothing. I may be wrong though, but it's a theory. When those two players met, did their actions reflect on the other players screen? The other issue could be syncing, this is a single player game not a mp game. With this not being scripted it is actually quite possible for two players to possibly fairly early in the games life cycle since player start positions are random someone could have already found the planet you start on. I'm concerned about new players down the road. Since this is a linked game new players will have problems with finding new stuff unless either the game starts them in whole new galaxies or periodically resets the servers for new players.
Will the actions of those on PS4 affect those on PC? I'm hoping that when I do get the game that I won't end up somewhere already discovered. That would kill the PC space if PS4 got all the glory.
Interesting use of elements and very realistic. This game looks better and better. Hopefully the usage system in this game is fair and not gonna guzzle them.
Titanfall recycled the piss poor hit detection and latency crap from COD. The playerbase dwindled to near empty and when I would find matches, it would be do laggy that by the time the game would register hits on me I'd die because of the massive delay with hit reg. Started happening far too frequently that I said f*** you to the game and hung it up for good. I'd shoot guys to no effect even though I'm dumping the whole clip into him and getting lots of hit markers. I'm leery about buying the sequel just to experience more of the same garbage. I don't wanna play a game where 100+ ping cheaters have all the advantage over those who live near the host server and actually pay for their decent internet!
I'm hoping plutonium is at least plentiful enough to allow enough exploration, otherwise what's the point to explore if you're limited on this element.
Good cause I'm not looking to be playing my own exploration game and have some troll noob ambush me just for the kicks and set me back. There will probably something for this in the future, same as how Destiny does it with dedicated locations though hopefully they don't bury equipment that is only accessible via mp cause not everyone wants to play tdm.
So we won't see any reviews till probably end of the week. I'm thinking about getting it as a nice change of pace from playing boring FPS games that everyone has to cheat on to win, and VAC is a piss poor system to boot.
@angrycreep: whether it's a year, year and a half or more. That is still considerably less than what the XBONE had and not even nearly close to the lifespan of the 360. With the price point for this system, since it's technically a new system with additional components and not less which is what typically happens to redesigned systems except maybe additions to storage which is what does happen. Why would I buy a new fully priced system that does the same thing as my One except adds 4K which I won't be buying anytime soon? Then in another year or more drop the same or more on a better version system? I'd rather save my money and get the Scorpio or whatever it will be called and get that which will include all of the Slim features regardless! Then again Apple releases an S version of their phones that still sell well so who knows. Still think it was a bad decision, plus the fact that the videocards and cpu in these systems usually becomes obsolete within the first year. It all seems bad...
