@phbz I was also disappointed by both Sony and MS announcements. Sony has a few PS4 exclusives coming that I'm interested in whereas MS still has nothing in the pipeline for me, but I do believe MS had the better show. Sony dedicated way too much time to not games which was very surprising (in a negative way, as you said) considering the events of the past year or so. They also showed a lot of DLC and remastered old stuff which is not the sort of thing I tune into E3 to see. And I'm tired of them taking shots at their competitors whereas MS appeared more humbled.
The PlayStation brand over the Xbox brand is still the one for me, but I was certainly let down by the Sony conference this year. Nintendo is in a good position to win it depending on what they have to show.
Funny, the point you make about feeling somewhat detached from the world when you gain flight. When I first learned that you could fly around seemingly everywhere, I was a little disappointed, being a fan of ground platforming.
Did anyone notice how the dominant ad on GameSpot's homepage was for DS2 all day yesterday with the top headline being the review for Titanfall...and now it's the opposite?
