@bannermanner That's not what I was implying. I enjoyed your comment.

@bannermanner I don't know, but posting about posting about it seems to be doing the trick.

A lot of bitterness surrounds this game, whether it comes from it being associated with EA, Microsoft, or CoD. I'm sad to say that I've probably contributed negatively, myself. But it seems like something a lot of people are excited for. It received a lot of acclaim at E3, and it's receiving a lot of acclaim now at pending launch. It's a great feeling for something that you've eagerly anticipated being so close to release, and I don't think it should be spoiled for petty reasons. Hopefully, something more to my tastes will bring me that excitement again down the line...In parcitular, it would be nice if FFXV or EverQuest Next shape up to be something on that scale... At any rate, I hope everybody who's been looking forward to this enjoys it thoroughly. Cheers and stuff.

@Lhomity You're mostly correct, although certain entries have pleased more people than others...coming from someone who likes XIII (but not so much XIII-2). Some "experiments" are more successful than others, in other words.

And, although I retain some skepticism, I also do not think that this is a sign of doom for the franchise as a whole. They turned around XIV's fortunes dramatically, and XV looks like a different kind of beast. I am hoping for another entry more like IX (sorry you didn't enjoy it)...maybe someday...but no, the franchise is certainly not dead to me, even if I do believe the most enjoyment I've gotten from it is in the past. And I'll probably end up enjoying LR a fair amount, as well, even if only for combat and visual aesthetic.

@prats93 I also liked XII, just not thoroughly.

@YearoftheSnake5 XIII was the last one I enjoyed, but X was the last one I thoroughly enjoyed. Unless you count XIV: ARR, I had a lot of fun with that for a couple of months, as well.

This is disappointing. I suspected a low score would be coming after reading his preview a couple weeks back, though. Still, many of the older previews I had read around the web made it sound like this was going to be the best entry and that they remedied a lot of elements. It remains to be seen what the world at large thinks of the game (and, more importantly, what I think of it), but this is still disappointing.

@Klikandclick @thedorkknight74 @sw1000xg @jmeyer2039 Change is change. Whether it's good, bad, or neither is in the eye of the beholder.

@sw1000xg @jmeyer2039 Are you trying to tell me that I'm wrong for not tiring of the same Arkham gameplay yet? I don't know what to tell you. I can't help how I feel. If it makes you feel any better, I burned out on Assassin's Creed after Brotherhood and stopped buying those. I also don't play CoD or other military shooters.

But, seriously, do not sit there and act like I'm some kind of scourge. That's insulting. I buy what I like and stop buying what I stop liking just like everybody else. If you don't like what I like, that's nobody's problem, but a simple conflict of interest. I am not at the point where I feel change is necessary in this franchise to keep it exciting or enjoyable. So, yes, I will continue to fund it. Again, do not try to tell me I shouldn't.
