They did not adapt to feedback. If it was feedback that caused the adaptation, they would have adapted right away. They had weeks' worth of backlash, and their executives' responses to it throughout were "No, wait, see, you're wrong, see, we're right, see, you just have to see it our way, see. Our policies are what they are," and "We have a product for offline consumers, and that's the 360."
It was numbers that prompted the change, not feedback. That's what I believe.
I'm glad for the changes, and I have nothing against the games or the gamers who want to play them. But as for the company, Microsoft... It'll be a while before I look upon them with anything but disdain.
@chevelle451 It's entirely too early to be applying "factors" such as these. The PS3 and 360 aren't even entirely finished being defined by their titles, yet, and the PS4 and One are still fresh out of the womb.
