Sounds like the reason for the lower score is that it's "more of the same." If that's the case, I'm on board. I love the Arkham games, they don't release often enough for me to get burned out, so I have no reason to worry. Innovation is not something I particularly look for or care about in video games, anyway. I mean, I can appreciate it, but I'm usually fine without it.
I did not enjoy the Souls games for the player interaction - cooperative, competitive, or otherwise - even though I understand it's a major part of those games if you want it to be.
I loved the games purely for the solo experience of exploring the world and overcoming its challenges on my own...without help or interference from another player.
I don't like the idea of not being given an option to exclude myself from player interaction (by staying undead), but I am certainly willing to live with it.
@Riddick123 @A_Rabid_Dog Either that or Larry Hryb will make some ambiguous comment that makes it seem like everything is swell and that we're all living joyfully in a Microsoft Xbox world.
@Rattlesnake_8 I was thinking the same thing. It would be one thing if there has been heavy demand and strong sales. But, to my knowledge, there hasn't been.
Part of the problem lies with the people that are doing the talking. Now that Mattrick is gone, Hryb is probably the #1 guy I want to see gone from...well, everywhere. Not because I hate Xbox but because I want to see Microsoft become better for the good of the industry, and I believe there still needs to be a lot of "restructuring" done. Not too pleased with Phil Spencer or Julie Larson-Green, either, but everything Hryb especially says and does screams shill to me. I still remember that E3 interview that YouTube guy did with him. Couldn't stand his attitude.
@m4a5 @jmeyer2039 Yeah, I can see how you got that from my post... What can I say, sometimes the desire to troll a little gets the better of me. What you said about competition is true, though.
Edit: Removed OP. Your name is familiar, by the way. Have we spoken before?
@JBStone1981 @m4a5 @green_scorpion @jmeyer2039 Neither console has offered me anything compelling beyond the promise of fun games in 2014 (not interested in any launch titles). I have no desire to utilize the cameras, voice commands, or other entertainment features of either device. I am already fulfilled in that area with my TV, cable box, laptop, and smartphone.
