Bummer about No Man's Sky, I was looking forward to it next month. I'm still undecided on PS4 or PC on that one. Probably PC.
I'm a bit surprised Microsoft is going to engage Sony with the incremental hardware refreshes of their console. With their focus on Live! and porting many of their exclusives to PC, I figured they had basically conceded this gen to Sony and were shifting focus. However, I guess with this new model for consoles they don't want to find themselves antiquated, and they also wanted to get in on the console VR space (which is where I think VR will ultimately take hold, because few casual gamers are going to purchase or build a VR-ready PC IMO).
@dante9006: Someone at Square/Enix mentioned that the game needs to sell 10 million (no crap) units to be a success for them. It is most definitely coming to PC.
It's like Nintendo doesn't realize they can go back to the well with many of their properties. Some of these games are long overdue for a release without some transforming gimmick or forced motion and/or touch controls. It makes me afraid for the long awaited new Zelda. Am I going to have to use a camera on a touch pad to cast spells by making facial contortions, or blow into a F'n mic to play a ocarina?
@interxboxfirm: The PS3 surpassed the 360 because it had strong worldwide sales, in addition to being competitive in the US. The Xbox One is dead outside of the US and UK, and falling farther behind there each month.
@Agermemnon: they actually did collaborate with Blizzard eventually and took a lot of what they said to heart. It's what led to many of the (great/needed) changes in The Taken King. Unfortunately they still don't have matchmaking for basic missions and raids - something any on-line collaborative game of this kind should have had from the get-go.
