@bmanva Nintendo is cash rich, and even though the WiiU bombed the 3DS family still moves crazy units. Nintendo has always played it safe, conservative, and a bit isolated. That's why of all the major publishers, they're the one with this kind of policy. It should be noted that other publishers are just as aggressive when it comes to take down/rights claims.

As long as DLC remains optional to the core experience I'm OK with it. For the most part DLC in games is essentially horse armor++ at this point, just pointless cosmetic items or boosts for players that either don't have a lot of time or couldn't care less about challenge.

I don't like how Take-Two/Turtle Rock are planning on making new classes in Evolve DLC with a cost. It's why I'm going to wait for a GOTY edition or an impressive Steam sale.

Probably Microsoft and Sony both snapping traditionally cross-platform franchises, Tomb Raider and Street Fighter. If it turns out to be a competitive trend it could turn out poorly for gamers who only own one or the other new consoles.
