@lion2447: I completely agree, which is probably why my FF7 and SNES classic is getting so much usage as of late.

@rmoxon: I definitely do not watch any of the tubers, I more or less check out threads like this and see what the general opinions are from a larger number of people. Its good to know what you can actually earn it all. In Injustice 2, you could only earn a certain amount of crystals before you no longer get rewarded them, thus not being able to do all the unlockables from my experience with it. I figured it was similar, but its nice to know you can work your way towards things without having to pay. I enjoy the grind to earn rewards as opposed to just buying them, so this is some good information now. Reviewers tend to leave out certain facts such as these.

@rmoxon: I'm actually basing the assumption on how Injustice 2 was and figured there would be a few more ontop of what that had. Basically when it comes to microtransactions, I'm not a fan, I personally would like to see everything earnable in-game, and microtransactions can be used to unlock these things earlier, but content in a game should not be locked behind a $$$ value. Even if unlocking some of these things take a longer amount of time, thats ok with me, but if you get limited to only a certain amount of unlocks before you have to spend money, that just rubs me the wrong way. Putting out the initial money for a game, which are getting on the rather high side, being gated for things behind a $$$ value is undesirable to me, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that shares that opinion. I'm not going to lie, Anthem has jaded on many things now. I do enjoy NR games, and I'm sure that will not change, but certain aspects offput from many games now.

Its seems like developers and what not are putting as many microtransactions in as possible and than waiting to see how many people complain. If enough complain they do something and if not very many complain, they do nothing. AAA games are about 50/50 now if they are even worth picking up used. After the whole Anthem issue, I personally completely refuse to pre-order games or even consider picking them up in the first 2 weeks of their release. With MK11 the way it is, it has solidified that fact for myself and I'm sure many other people.

$499 is more the price point that a large majority of people are willing to pay. Once it exceeds that point, I think many people would be holding off on picking it up. Mind you at places like Gamestop/EBgames where you can trade a previous gen console in, even if its for $100 to $200 to knock the price down would be a common thing for people to do, especially if it exceeds the $500 price point. Being backwards compatible as they are saying would mean you would not need to hang onto a PS4/Pro. Just my 2 cents.

@neurogia: It appears you have not even played the game, you choose your javelin at the start which EVERY single player has done.

Honestly good story is few and far between nowadays. Don't get me wrong there are some games with good story and a few with great story. Story and the gameplay narrative have fallen by the wayside in the past handful of years to the point that I don't even bother trying to form an opinion on story unless it is actually good. This has been a trend for a while now and its not so surprising to me to be perfectly honest.

Could not care less about cross play. How is a company aloud to pay X amount of $$$ to have a game released earlier on their console or DLC a week earlier and so on. Unless everything is treated equally for EVERYTHING across the board things like this will continue to happen regardless.

@csward: I do understand that is what it says. I was simply referring to violence being used in their justification, when in real life many other things fall under the category of violence as well.
