[QUOTE="exiledsnake"][QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"] Id rather have Toriyama then Nomura where the game will be about leather, belt buckles, chains, and spikey hair like saiyans.WilliamRLBaker

I don't get your point. Toriyama is not a character designer and both Toriyama AND Nomura worked on FFXIII.

*sighs* Nomura is director of versus, Toriyama was director of 13..

Being director of versus means that every character including female characters will have spikey hair and be decked out in leather S&M outfits and chains.

Huh? Because Nomura's the director, his characters will be designed the Nomura way? That's CHARACTER DESIGN. Being a director is totally different.....

[QUOTE="Gue1"]

[QUOTE="Fossil-"] I think XII had an absolutely terrible story and a misplaced main character (Vaan was nothing more than a plot device) and the battle system blew once you got further into the game because if you weren't an idiot with gambits the game would basically play itself. That aside, I agree that the world was great, there was a good amount of content and freedom, and the overall design was well done. It's almost hard to believe they even crafted a world like that on PS2 and then gave us a series of hallways for a PS3 game.WilliamRLBaker

The blame lies on this man:Motomu Toriyama. He wanted FFXIII to be exciting all the time like a FPS like COD. In fact, he say that COD was one of the main inspirations for the game, now you know why things went so wrong. Toriyama freaking sucks.

Yeah maybe in gross revenue but not in profit, for every million they spend they barely if at all get that million back plus a bit more. MS on the other hand can spend a thousand bucks and turn it into sixty thousand thanks to their software and almost complete control of the market.JohnF111
Yes, Sony's profitability is really crap when compared to Nintendo and Microsoft. But what gross revenue does show is that how big of a player that company is in that particular industry. So you saying MS has complete control of the market is just as ridiculous as saying that Sony is making loads of money. Having said that, the numbers in that link can't really be compared between Sony, MS and Nintendo because their revenue also comes from other non-gaming products.

I would like to see this happen just to see if it works because I can't see how it possibly can work for the industry. Its not really a genius idea since everybody must have thought of it at some point but to execute it properly for it to be a success is what makes console makers hesitant on this. And the upgrades will most probably be first party so they won't be as cheap as PC upgrading as you be paying a premium to MS. Still interesting though.

As a person who currently works in a CEO's office, I can safely say that he is just replying with typical CEO bullcrap.

I have noticed that the ones who defend or accept the crap ending of ME3 are mostly the lemmings. I think there's still some residual biasness from when it was an exclusive, lol.

You guys are taking his words too literally. What he said was correct in a way and he didn't mean any disrespect by it. The Wii carved out a whole demographic for itself this generation and this is be what he meant (maybe lost in translation?). And he thinks that Nintendo are going to try and do it again with the Wii U. I think everybody here is just too skewed to their allegiances to form a neutral opinion, really.

[QUOTE="exiledsnake"][QUOTE="mems_1224"] so?mems_1224
So its misleading.

e3 isnt about being honest. its about building hype for their games. MS is gonna debut splinter cell at their conference at tell everyone they're looking at the pc version? thats stupid.

MS could've used the 360 version then.
