You did not outline the PS3 costs $1000 here ($830 US) and games up to $120. Plus you can get a Samsung blu-ray player at $990 now though that will drop (it was $1500 a few months ago).Nintendo_Man
Yeah I know it a bit more expensive here but rather than pay about the same for a blueray player, or maybe $200 less in a few months, why wouldnt I get a Ps3 as I can use it for many things. Also 360 games are sometimes $120 dollars when they come out.
As some of your may know, I have owned a 360 since almost launch. I love my 360 but I thought it was time to get a Wii. I had $2000 Au to spend but i wasnt planning on spending it all obviously. I got my Wii aswell as Zelda and warioware but then I saw some the Ps3 display. After long considereration i decided i was going to get one eventually and i was looking to get a blueray player so i picked one of them up aswell as resistance and a few movies.
The wii is amazingly fun but i already knew that as a mate had one. Now the Ps3 i find to be underrated. Its a really good console, doesnt have enough games yet but the console itself is quite good. Resistance is good fun and reminds me of call of duty but faster with more modern weapons. It is starting to get a little repeatative but its a very solid game, i would give it 8.5. I am impressed by the Ps3's online, its nowhere near xboxlive, but it seems to be lag free and obviosly price free.
I just thought I would write this to maybe help people if they consider a Ps3, the console itself is very good, but it doesnt have enough games yet so i wouldnt reccomend it unless you want the blueray aspect. Everyone know the will is great fun at a cheap price so i more focused on the Ps3 because it has been under critisicm. anyways hope this maybe helped someone.
[QUOTE="BrutonNYC"][QUOTE="pundog"][QUOTE="BrutonNYC"][QUOTE="pundog"]Like I said in another thread, rechargable AA's and a USB wireless adaptor save you $60. Of couse by using your logic I would have to add about $800 because my 360 actually has games worth buying.Kook18
You didnt read the last part.. Im actually being fair and not including the "luxury" items such as the HD-DVD drive, Wireless headset, games etc.. Just the neccessities that you need for gaming
And you didn't read the first part, because a smart consumer would be able to save $60 on those neccessities.Ok so lets say your right.. I save $60.00 great, so $630 minus $60 still leaves me with a grand total of.. $570.00, so for $30.00 more, a console such as the PS3 offers free online gaming, built in blu-ray, camera card readers and a HDD twice the size again all this using your numbers of the 360 being $60.00 it would be only $30.00 more for the PS3 with all those features and then some
hmmm. ebay your 360 and live happily ever after with your ps3? i mean if you sell your 360, you'll have more money for ps3 games.First of all, he doesnt have a 360, hes a fake boy. Second of all hypothetically even if he did and sold it on ebay, PS3 has no games to spend money on....
Someday he may realise he has wasted $600 on a console that 360 is just dominating all over. Whatever PS3 can do, 360 can do better it seems.
Hello All, I downloaded the update for MSN on my 360 but now everytime I turn my 360 on It signs into MSN, I dont want it to. I find myself playing games and then people start talkin 2 me, I know I can just go to sign out, but is there a way to stop signing in whenever I turn on my 360??
Cheers
Exactly correct, My thoughts in a nutshell. The thing is i believe they will eventually utilise the wiimote for things like that, in a golf game you will eventually swing how you would on the links and a suttle twist of the wrist will send the ball hooking and slicing in every direction. We have already seen a glimpse of this in bowling, somewhat in red steels sword fighting scenes and im sure this will be used to come.
Currently developers are just cashing in on wiis sucess. soon sales will slow down and devs will get down to actually using the wiimote how it can be used and not just slappig on controls for a quick buck.
There is so much that can and will be done with the wii-mote...
Sports games will be amazing eventually, shooting games will get much better, racing games will control awsome an there are so many different possibilities that will be awsome. The graphics are acceptable yet definately not as good as 360 or PS3 but the games will be amazing in time to come...
Once the wii-mote is really utilised well the will will pull even futher away from the competition.
PS: I dont even have a Wii yet because games like zelda dont interest me at all, I only have a 360 and might get a PS3 eventually if it catches up to 360. Im a manticore, let me just also say this is all opinion.
OK... I was in the exact same situation not long ago....
I went 360, even though i was a complete sony fan, I hate what the have done to the dual shock (new triggers dont feel good to me, sixaxis is ok but not realy needed)
360 is always going to have a steady flow of great games, Games look great, there are many of them, alot of them cheap now and theres only better to come.
well personally i would go 360, I love mine but ill get a PS3 down then line, in the end its your decision, good luck.
