Uplay is just fine. Steam is just fine. Unless you're just pirating all of your games there is no reason to avoid them. They don't harm performance, have no affect on the gameplay, and with hard drive sizes these days, the space they take up is negligible.
If they can produce these kinds of results for a price that people can actually afford, this will fundamentally change the game for consumers. We need this stiff competition in a bad way.
@perphektxero: I'm pretty sure if the game is crashing on both PS4 and PC for EVERYONE that I know, the bug simply could not have slipped by them.
The frame rate issues are everywhere on every configuration also, so no I do not believe that these bugs just slipped on by. I give them too much credit for that.
And yes, having a perfect game on release IS possible. Just wait another month and include what would have been the day one patch on disk. Japanese developers release much more flawless games than western developers. It is still possible.
@perphektxero: That still hawkens back to the game being unfinished. If you didn't properly test your game, the game is certainly not finished. The issues occur on very, very popular hardware configurations. I know they're a small team, but they still need to do a complete job.
@perphektxero: Games that are unfinished shouldn't be released, no matter how large the developer. If it's still buggy, delay it again. Months if you have to. I didn't buy day one and I'm happy I didn't. If they fix it, they'll earn my money. But, I'll not be playing day one, and since I'm waiting I'll not be paying full price. This is their loss for releasing it too early, and my gain for being patient.
@Gamer_4_Fun: It's because it's rendered using voxels instead of polygons, which are uncommon and a good AA method doesn't really exist yet. Its said that HG is working on a new form of AA to work with this that does a better job, but who knows if they'll pull it off.
@vanquishre: As far as I'm aware there is no deal restricting them from publishing on the Xbox, it's just a small team and they're doing as much as they can.
