I find it so frustrating when a games core element is lacking. A fighting game with repetitive combat? It should be the strongest aspect of the game! I wish I was a project manager sometimes, I'd like to think I wouldn't deem the game ready until combat's as fun as it can be. Perhaps the process is more difficult than I imagine and things get in the way. *shrugs*

I think this sort of game'll be best to dip into to relax every so often. I'm looking forward to playing it. It's not over-hyped. They haven't given any false promises. But it won't be for everyone.

@kljvoph: You CAN 'beat' Skyrim and GTA in 30 hours if you focus - like this law breaking twat has done with NMS - on the main goal. Or you can make it last a lot longer.

@SingletreeAve: I'm glad I'm not the only one who's thought this. A lot of the news on this site's pointless. It used to be a proper gaming website, now the news and vids are diluted with articles about super hero films, GoT, and conjured up click-bait like this.

I'm very interested in buying a VR headset for Star Citizen more than anything. I think it's unquestionable that it'll greatly enhance your immersion with a lot of games. Downside is if you're prone to motion sickness, as a lot of people seem to be. Also, for games like Star Citizen, you'll likely need to invest into upgrading your rig or making a new one altogether, as the specifications will be very high. So question is, how bad do you want it? I'm on the fence.

Can't wait for this game. Not hyped though, I've channeled my expectations to just wanting a fun combat space sim, anything else is icing on the cake. I'm avoiding arena commander too so the real game'll be more enjoyable. I'm surprised some people still think this is a scam too. Some of the best games out there took 5+ years to develop. No surprise when a game's so large in scope. I guess some people are just trolling at this point.

People are far too swayed by hype and get let down too easily, especially if you thought the new film was 'trash'? I mean seriously. I acknowledge that it was played safe and didn't tread enough new territory but damn, after the last 3 films? And people are disappointed? I'd get your expectations more in check or by the time you turn 50 your expectations for everything will be so high you'll want to top yourself.

I personally have always defined a 'gamer' as someone who takes gaming as a hobby and goes beyond just playing mobile games to pass the time. Ultimately it's just a word that's open to interpretation and spawns an endless, tedious, pointless debate (which people seem to love).

I think the idea of the meaning of the word itself means people label others in a black-and-white, one-size-fits-all-manor ("If you play Solitaire for 20 minutes a day, you are a gamer! The exact same as someone who plays Fallout on his home-built rig"), when really, it doesn't mean anything because it's so vague.
