I hate that they expanded on the "Hall of Meat"; I want to skate damn it, I could careless how painful that injury was! The demo felt just as frustrating as original game, I really don't see it being better than the original...it just has more stuff.
Far Cry 2 has great A.I.; the Splinter Cell series is similar in this aspect. The A.I. in Halo 1 and 2 is also really good if you haven't checked it out; it's really awesome because they have "eyes". Halo 3's is meh; mainly because the Brutes are boring, and all the grunts ever do is group-toss grenades (very annoying). If you get to check it out play Crysis; some pleople don't like it, but the enemies work well together. They are crazy good at flanking and surrounding; the problem is that they often spawn in this manner rather than physically moving there. Regardless of this, during combat they are very mobile and are just as smart in close quarters. I think a lot of people are confusing intelligent A.I. with extremely difficult enemies and/or scripted A.I.. Sometimes when a level is played enough one can remember location of the "baddies"; that's usually (not always) an example of scripted A.I.. As far interesting A.I. in general, play Oblivion; some crazy things can happen in that world. Allow a beast to chase into town and watch the shenanigans unfold.
