Just recently I noticed my hard drive making a weird beeping noise every once in a while. The hard drive that I have is less than a year old. I hope its not going out on me already. What do yal think? and if so if I purchase new hard drive do I have to install windows again?

OK I have a question I have an 750 Watt PSU and by the looks of the design of the graphic card using smaller and smaller dies is it safe to say that my current power supply should be efficent to power future high ends cards for a long time?

I don't know about those sites, but you don't need to have an EVGA card to use EVGA precision, I'm using it with my XFX and mine came with a game too lol. And doesn't make sense to upgrade your current video card to that.Sordidus

I wanted to upgrade because of the driver issues with the card that I had and also I couldn't play crysis at decent graphical settings and FPS

Your 9800 GTX+ isn't doing it for you?Shattered007

The card had alot of driver issues. I could play most games at almost high levels. I wanted a card with more power that didn't have the driver issues as this one. I thought it was just me until I looked at newegg reviews of the card and a lot of people were having the same issues.

I was looking to purchase a 55nm Geforce GTX 260 SSC Edition and as soon as I got the money for it the websites I usually purchase my PC hardware no longer carry it. Preferably I wanted to purchase the game with some added in goodies such as a game or the evga precision tool but if not I just wanted to purchase the card from a reliable source. I googled the card for sale and the search only came up with three results. They were: Mwave.com, Ebay.com, Eworldsale.com. Have any of you purchase from these sites before? If you did conduct business with these sites how was the experience? Should I purchase from these sites of just wait for newegg or the evga.com to provide the product?

Using a motherboard that only supports PCIE x 16 and a graphics card that interface is PCI-E 2.0 x 16 would there be a very significant difference in gaming if the motherboard being used supports PCIE 2.0 x 16 as far as graphics and performance is being concerned?

Yeah I went and looked on the reviews between the two cards and the GTX 260 CORE 216 was scoring just as good as a GTX 280. So I guess I'm going to go with that one even though I really wanted that free game Far Cry 2.

I just RMAed a Gigabyte graphics card to new egg because it wasn't powerful enough for me. I was having a hard time deciding on which of these two cards should I purchase. The have similiar specs but I wanted GS opinion on it. So which is the overall better card as far as power and cooling is concerned. Also keep in mind that I have an AnTec 900 case so which it these would I have a harder time fitting into my case.

Asus - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121285 - This card also comes with a free copy of Far Cry 2

AH Thanks!!! I downloaded the Rivatuner and realized that my fan speed was already set at a 100%. So I figured it was my case. I purchased a Antec 900 gaming case and it lower my idle temp to about 39c and when I'm playing a game its about 45-55c. Thats a major drop in temps.
