Need Help with Hard Drive...I think

Just recently I noticed my hard drive making a weird beeping noise every once in a while. The hard drive that I have is less than a year old. I hope its not going out on me already. What do yal think? and if so if I purchase new hard drive do I have to install windows again?

Cheap hard drives can make more noise after some time. But as long as you don't get any errors it should be fine. Just run a checkdisk now and then to make sure it's working fine. Unless it bothers you, you can keep it as far as I know.

Also the hard I have now is using Sata. If I purchase a new hard drive that is Sata 3.0Gb would that be compatible with any motherboard that supports Sata
