I wont be selling my PS3, but I will NEVER be using a credit card to make purchases again. I hope they learned their lesson, and have FIRED their DB administator for not encrypting the tables with passwords and CC #'s in them. Cleartext?!? Seriously?!?!??! Sony, thats just pathetic.

Love them or hate them, they are proving an important point. Sony is here because of people like us, without us they are nothing. But somewhere in the game, people forget that WE are their customer. They need to provide us with what we want. Somewhere along the road here people just sat back and let them not only charge us for everything, but also control what they are charging us for. Corporations in general have us cornered, and nobody has the courage to stand up to them. Although I'm a little ticked about the network being down....kudos Anonymous. We pay the bills, we should be able to do what we want when we purchase the hardware/software. I know I'm going to hear about 6,000 different arguments back on this, but you get the point. Its the principal of it all.

To put it simply: No.

To elaborate upon this: Hell no.

I normally hate responses like this...but sadly...I have to agree. The launch lineup is sad. Its full of ports , old ports, and shallow games. The 3D is gimmicky in my opinion and wears off quickly. I spent $350-400 and have about 2-3 hours of playtime max. Trust me,I WANT to enjoy it. Its just not happening. If I could get my money back I would.

It does a automatic background install while you are playing.. On the box it says 4gbs of space are required and I've been playing for... Probably 5-6 total hours by now and the file size is only up to 1.7gbs so it installs pretty slowly.MethodManFTW

Awesome, good to know.

I was trying to find somewhere in the.....well...if you call it a manual. No details.

I had read somewhere that this game required a mandatory install..... I can't find an option anywhere TO install it, and I'd actually like to. Its not available to install by pressing triangle at the XMB, and I don't see it in the game options. Is it even possible to install to HDD?

They can't be completely blocked, but they dont damage you nearly as bad, nor do they knock you down. Strategy worked great. Not saying its the best way, but it turned out to be very easy for me.

I took the exact opposite approach, and stayed CLOSE! Use the block button, it is very much your friend. You have to play defensive against him. Most of his hits can be blocked, so stay close and wait for him to strike. Block everything you can, and then counter with a strong move (uppercut or flying kick). Also, use your X-Ray at every opportunity. Small combos work very well working into a hard attack too. Just remember, USE BLOCK and he's not that hard. Block, counter, block, counter. Two tries using that strategy. Using the 'stay far away' I got my tail handed me to 5 or 6 times without even coming close to hurting him.

Also, when I "install" a game onto the hard drive, do I still need the Blu-Ray disc to start it up or I can just choose from the menu? I don't really like to swap discs in and out, kinda wears them out and they get scratched and stuff :c

trastamad03

Yep you are going to have to put in the Game disc every time you want to play your game, watch a bu-ray etc.

Then what's the point in having my games on the HDD? Are load times really that bad with the discs?

Its a way to prevent piracy...not a big deal. It also saves your optical drive from being worn down and decreases load times.
