I'm one who can't seem to get used to it. I can never seem to adapt to the objects that 'pop' out. It throws my entire focus off. I also get eye strain from it easy. I've just come to enjoy the 3ds without the 3d.

I'm a little upset with day one pricing... But everything is coming together. Premature launch, enough said. Crap happens and early adopters always eat some of it. Anyway, I'm not disgusted with the add on stick either. It should have been there day one but at least the problem is remedied instead of being ignored. I'm convinced those of you complaining would complain either way. Enjoy the system for what it is. If you don't like it, go buy a PSP or Vita.

It may be a remake but it is an amazing game. Keep in mind though... It IS 15 years old. It not like they are stamping out remake after remake for Starfox. Purchased day one and I have no remorse. Amazing 15 years ago and even more amazing on the 3DS.

Absolutely and Nintendo is finally realizing it, this is why that after 4 months of little advertising and concentrating on 3D (which might actually been a negative thing for the 3DS considering 3D movies are losing popularity) they're finally realeasing commercials like this

Nah, an American company would lay off its workers and continue to give extreme bonuses and raises to their administration and CEO. Probably ask for a bailout from the government too.

IMO launching the system without a MAJOR Mario release is just stupid. People buy Nintendo for Zelda, Mario, etc. Nobody buys a new console for a port of Stree Fighter 4. I was excited to get my system at launch, but the titles were just dissapointing. This isn't Nintendo's first system launch without a major title, they seem to repeat this process and get worse ever since the Cube. Anybody old enough to remember the N64 launch? You couldn't find a console on the shelves if your life depended on it, and Mario 64 copies were almost as hard to find.

Anyway, my thoughts as to why its failed so far...

1. Software (lack of!)

2. Economy

3. Price was too high

4. Poor marketing (Plenty of ads, just wrong approach)

I just want to share my experience yesterday that I had with a person who thought the 3DS was just a gimmick and waste.

My younger cousin stopped over and we were going to hang out and play some games. We got on the topic of the 3DS already cutting price, etc etc. He laughed and said "About time, but it still isn't worth $170". Although I agree that $250 was a bit more than I wanted to pay, I definatly argue that the device is worth at LEAST the $170 they are dropping it to. So I said, ok....defend your argument. As with most people I have had this discussion with, there was no real argument. I handed him the 3DS. I had him play the built in AR games, Face Raiders, watched some preview videos off the e-shop, and of course play a bit of the retail games. He was absolutely blown away by the system. He loved the AR games and was completely impressed with it manipulating your own surroundings. Within 20 minutes of playing with most of its features, the story is completely changed. He didn't realize there was much more to the 3DS than just the ability to do 3D.

There is my story. Now, with that little bit of experience the end user has completely changed their tune and impression of the 3DS. I know the 3DS really has had a decent amount of ads / publicity, but was it going about it wrong? Here is a younger generation kid that is surrounded with nothing but false impressions of a device, and myself (NOT a marketing expert) was able to provide a significantly different view on the device in minutes. Do we need more demo units showing all its features and not locking it to a single game? Do they need to back off of the "3D" feature and focus on more of it's other perks? What are your opinions and experiences with your 3DS?

I would like it to be a classic 2D Metroid game with 3D.It should be fun!

Although I like my black 3DS, I wouldn't have minded the Aqua Blue. Its pretty cool looking IMO.
