@hadlee73 I don't mean to be the joke-killer here, but do you know where Vita was made? With, the wages the workers are paid and the treatment they receive, they might as well already be slaves.

What he's saying is that shareholders want to make money. Creating a game with the "same ole pattern" is a much safer investment (a.k.a. bet) than a game that tries to be different and isn't for everyone. I am sure there are shareholders who invest in innovative projects, but not solely for the sake of innovation. I assume those shareholders have taken a much higher risk than usual, hoping to be rewarded for it.

If there going to be making board game movies, why not Clue? Then we get crappy tie in Clue: The Video Game.

@brasenhell I already knew Capcom had a deal with Sony. Nonetheless, putting DLC on the disc is still a very bad idea that should not catch on. I'm sure you've read the BS excuses Capcom has given for its chosen "delivery method" of "new content". If not, the articles are still on this site. Maybe they should take a page from Harada at Namco on how to handle fighting game character DLC. So Sony paid for exclusivity rights. What's the worst that would have happened if they made the characters a free update after the Vita version gets released? Maybe their sales numbers wouldn't have lagged if they did that. What's the worst that could happen? I know: Capcom will only get a measly $60 a copy for Street Fighter X Tekken. Doesn't it bring a tear to your eye?

@brasenhell I was looking at custom covers made for the game on google image. Whoopsie. It looked pretty darn convincing. It indeed says 38 playable characters on the official back cover.

Now that we have that out of the way, I'd still say you are still missing the point here. Yes they advertised 38 playable characters and that you got what you paid for. But issue is 12 of the characters were completed, put on the disc and locked away to be sold for extra cash rather than being unlocked in game. If they were done before the games release, they could have been available with the release of the game. It's a dirty practice that needs to stop. So if it doesn't bother you that's fine. Nonetheless, the people angry about on Disc DLC should complain. They should let Capcom know not to pull crap like this again.

@brasenhell Talk about completely missing the point. I just finish looking at the 360 and PS3 back covers. You are right: Technically speaking, Capcom wasn't not lying. The game INCLUDES over 40 characters in it (PS3s/Vita's 56 characters vs. 360s 53). Whether they're all playable or not is unknown. However, if I ask anyone to read that back cover, he or she will most likely assume the 40+ characters are available to play as in this game. Minus on disc DLC characters, the PS3/Vita version has 45 Characters available to play as and the 360 version has 39 to play as; so the 360 version would seem to be inconsistent with its back cover, even though it isn't (F*****g semantics!!). This just shows how sneaky Capcom was trying to get this on-disc DLC through under the radar. Just because YOU saw it coming doesn't make it any less of a problem for everyone else. They have a right to complain.
