I currently have ony a Wii as far as home consoles go, and I used to have a 360.

There are a few reasons why I would buy a 360 again and not a PS3. First off, it's way cheaper. Being a university student, money isn't the most available thing right now and I'm sure most of you post-secondary gamers could agree with this. Secondly, and this is just pure personal choice, I much prefer Xbox Live over the Playstation network or whatever it is. I'd rather pay $70 a year to play online becase I know it's always been stable and the games I play(ed) always had competition waiting. I also like the 360 dashboard better, and the actual physical design is more appealing to me (can't stand playing a friend's PS3 and trying to turn it on with the annoying touch-sensitive console buttons). I like the 360 controller a LOT more too (better control stick placement and trigger button placement imo). I just feel like the 360 is much more sleek, plus I had an original Xbox and not a PS3 so I guess you can call me a fanboy if you prefer.

Another selling point of the PS3 is the Blu-ray player in it. I have 100% no need for a bluray player at all, DVDs are easier to pirate and my television wouldnt benefit from bluray quality anyways.

I've always been a core Nintendo fan though which explains the Wii. Softmodded it so I have the entire NES and SNES library, and the favorite series are up to date on my console (Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Smash, Mariokart). These games are just too fun for me. Most of the time I'd rather play Gears of War 2 or Halo 3 online but I'm fine with the Wii for now waiting for more FPS, which seems like forever[please dont tell me there are plenty of your PS3/360, I already know]).

MY INPUT ^^^^^^^^^^^

I honestly love senseless violence and gore. Isn't that what makes games fun?

Manhunt 2 was poorly received but remains my favorite Wii game to date simply because you **** people right up with **** like bricks and syringes.

DOOM and Gears of War 2 are also favorites of mine.

I think if you're looking for something REALLY mature, you shut put your wii remote down and pick up a book with a really deep and moving plot just like you're looking for in your kiddy system.

Don't get me wrong, the Wii is fantastic and I always have fun when I play one of my 36 games for it, but I don't play video games to immerse myself in the storyline.

I live in Canada (British Columbia to be exact), and I went on a family vacation in February 2007. We went to LA, and stayed in a hotel that was a block away from Disneyland. We went there for 2 days of course, but also visited a ton of other places like Las Vegas, Universal Studios, Hollywood etc. We were there for about 3 weeks total. Anyways, at Universal Studios, before you enter the park there's a big shopping plaza. We arrived at 9:45am and the first shop I went into was an EB Games. I had $900 spending money, and wanted a Wii. Asked the guy at the front counter and he said there were 2 left out of 50 that they had when they opened at 9am. I bought one and brought it back to the car to keep it in the trunk while we were in the park. After we left the park we went back to the hotel (this is about 8pm) and I went across the street to the Target there. I bought The Legend of Zelda: TP and Farcry (hey it looked cool to me). Anyways, that's the story of how I got my wii and my first games. My wii is special to me because I got it at Universal Studios when my family was on vacation.

Sorry for the long boring post, just felt like putting in my 2 cents.

First games were Twilight Princess and Farcry.

Capcom have made this on the cheap for a quick buck, it's unfair and pure exploitation of Wii gamers. I dread to think how any possible RE5 port will turn out.

Ganados0

That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Since when does Capcom need to make a quick buck? I also don't see how it's unfair, considering they're delivering this game to a new platform for people to enjoy who don't own an Xbox 360. You seem to be a fan of the Resident Evil 4 port, so what makes you think a Resident Evil 5 port (which probably won't exist) would be so terrible?

This is one of the main reasons why I NEVER post.

I honestly visit these boards EVERY day and have only ever posted a few times because my input is pretty much worth nothing to kids who post here with fancy language, expecting that their response is worth a million dollars. The Gamespot forums are rarely a place for gamers, only a playground for the kids to argue on about how the Wii has no "hardcore" games and how every game they don't like is shovelware,

If you like Flashback, try Blackthorne. It's almost the exact same gameplay but you shoot ORCS AND MONSTERS TOO.

Developed by Blizzard (shouldn't have to introduce Blizzard in the legacy forums..)

Kick butt game.

Used to subscribe to a canadian mag called GMR. After that, EMG but I never subscribed. Then Nintendo Power, it sort of sucked until FUTURE took over though, now I like NP. I'll subscribe soon.

Naruto clash of ninja revolution 2 50$ i'm done with any American Naruto fighting games for a while.neji122793

That game goes for $10 brand new here in Canada.

As far as games I regret buying - Farcry when I first got my Wii ($50), Skate it ($50, balance board controls are really annoying), Mortal Kombat Armegeddon ($50, played it twice maybe) other than that I usually get REALLY good deals on games so I can't even say Bug Island was a bad deal for $5.
