In my case, it was the Official Playstation Magazine (PSM) that really made my day. Whenever there where a new issue available i the stores, I always went down and bought one. Unfortunately, the joy was short-lived since the magazine was closed down just a few months after I had started reading it.

I still have every issue I ever owned left, and the demo disc that came packed with the them. Sometimes when I don't know what game to play I put one of these discs into my PSX, and enjoy the games featured on them.

Damn it feels like so long ago. In the 90's, when I used to get magazines, I would always get Gamepro, Official Playstation Magazine, and EGM. That was before I ever knew what Gamespot was. Those were the days though. I would always get excited to see what would appear on the demo disc that OPM had. Now you do not have to do that stuff anymore because the demos are on the console stores. I still kind of miss those days. I also received demo discs from Playstation Underground. My first ever demo disc was the one with Paprappa the Rapper. I could not tell you how many times I played that demo disc. Those days of gaming are long gone now.

Nintendo Power, I used to get it but have not got it for a while. I will look at it in the store and some times buy it but have not been subscribed lately.

I used to read most of the US video game magazines that they imported here to Europe.

My favourite ever was EGM, back when it was the thickest video game magazine around. Also Die Hard Game Fan was great.

i didn't read one or two exclusively. i read most of them, but haven't ever subscribed to one. back in the day when all i had was a nes and a gameboy it made sense for me to only read nintendo power, but then i got a snes and a genesis so i started reading things like Video Games and Tips and Tricks cause there was a BOOM in the cheat department around 92-96. a friend of mine got EGM and EGM2 and i pretty much hated them because they were so biased and elitist gamers. i loved gamepro to death... but it pretty much was determined by what was in the issue. if it was games that i was interested in, then i got it, didn't care what the name on the cover was.

oh yeah! i did subscribe to the playstation underground for a while - birthday present - good times with those demo discs. GREAT idea too with those downloads. i wish they still did things like that, but i guess since every current gen console is now online capable it doesn't make sense anymore.

First Nintendo Power, than Dreamcast Magazine, than the Xbox official magazine (they started to suck when 360 came out though), than EGM.

EGM was a lot better back in the day though, i love going through the older ones and seeing a bunch of stuff that never got into games we now consider classics.

UK magazines, EDGE (a bit pretentious but the best for a look at japanese gaming at the time) Gamesmaster (not the best, but for a multi platform mag it was great), N64 Magazine (unnoficial and it was the best for n64 and general humour), also the short lived uk magazine, Arcade (future publishing) that was my favourite. i stopped buying games magazines around 2002, the speed and number of games in production now dont justify a magazine a month, years ago there was so much to write about, although i might pick one up just to see the mags are like nowadays.

My first gaming mag and only one I subscribed to was Nintendo Power. That magazine turned out to be the worst after 2003 or so. I also read Gamepro and EGM. Now I don't read any except when I have a plane to catch or I look at a friends game magazine.

I usedto buy Official Nintendo Magazine (UK) religiously when I was younger, but I just got more and more dissatisfied with their obvious bias towards Nintendo games - that, and the people who wrote it are just the most cringeworthy people you've ever seen.

I used to read EGM religiously. When they changed the format about 5 years ago I stopeed reading. IDK, i guess I just didn't like the new format. Now that they're letter-grading games, I'm even less likely to go back.

I was also a subscriber to Nintendo Power. But the price they want from people who live in Canada (like me) is unfair. I would only go back if they lowered their price.

I got into Tips and Tricks from my cousin, so I was into that for a while.

The best I've read is Game Informer. It just seems to have the most info in it.

But all the issues I had back in the day I've had to let go when I moved across the country :(

Now I just get Official xbox magazine, and lurk around on this site.
