So i'm sure most of you have played No Man's Sky by now, and, like me, have been very disappointed in how much of the core game was stripped out of the final product. This leaves us wondering why this might have happened. Time constraints? Technical constraints? Flat out lies?

I have some new information which I read in an article the other day which suggest the developers were wanting to develop for the Xbox One as well, and did so for a while, but due to the Xbone's serious lack of power, they had to stop production, hence wasting a ton of precious time and resources. This is incredible to me. Xbox One has literally been so bad that it caused another super-hyped game to fall on it's face. I'd be interested to hear what all your thoughts are, and if the Xbox One will compromise the integrity of any more games moving forward.

I love the 360 controller and it is my favorite controller yet. I even like the 360 more then the Xbox One even though they are very close to the same.

Personally I don't like any of the Xbox controllers. Sony has always had the best ones. Very ergonomic and stylish.

I currently own 3 PS4 units (bedroom, living room and man cave), but I decided I would try out the new Xbox One S to see what all the hype was about. I went to Best Buy only to find the Xbox aisle completely empty, while there were at least 15 people crowded into the PS4 aisle. This put a smile on my face, but I can't say I was surprised. Anyway, I took my Xbox One S home, accidentally dropped it from no more than 4 feet high and it immediately chipped on the corner! Cheap piece of junk! Anyway, plugged it in and was immediately bombarded by updates and creating accounts, it was a rather annoying experience. So far my impression is that the Xbox One S is going to have a very tough time keeping up with the PS4, and especially once they release their upgraded PS5. Micro$oft is going down hill. What do you all think? Can Xbox One S actually save Xbox One, or is it too late?

Sony has been my "go to" guy now for the past 15+ years. Bored during elementary school summer with no friends to hang with? Just play my PS2 and jump into a virtual world. Bored during my summer going in to college with no job or friends to hang with? Just play my PS3 and experience the power of the Cell. Bored now still with no job or friends to hang with? Just play my PS4. I hope you're seeing the trend here.

Sony has been my friend and companion for the better part of 15 years, so I owe a lot to them, and so for them to ask a LITTLE more for their PS+ service is more than acceptable, and i'm more than thrilled to pay the extra amount, especially since I know they will do so much more with the extra money.

The haters need to silence themselves because they're just jealous of the superior service of Sony.

That would be pretty cool if Apple joins the console business. Imangine a mac pro shaped console? That would be sick!!! Then you can remote play to your 5k imac and game at 4k

I really don't see why they haven't done it yet! Apple is clearly the best company out there to be in the gaming industry, besides Sony that is. Nintendo and Micro$oft have been flops lately.

I desperately want apple to enter the console market I feel like nintendo and microsoft are like flopping fishes that have no idea what they're doing against the ps4.

We need competition we need someone to enter whos going to knock out the ps4 off its high horse. We don't need dead fish flopping all over place against the ps4 and sony like microsoft and sony have done this gen.

We need innovation we need price we need power we need samsung we need apple GET in this market throw nintendo and microsoft to the dogs.

I agree. Apple also needs another flagship product, and with their huge install base in iOS, they could do a lot of really cool things. I don't like the idea of Apple buying out Nintendo like some people suggest.

The current generation has proven to be a complete success for Sony so far as Microsoft has had to resort to some pretty desperate measures by quickly releasing a Xbox One reboot in the form of the S version. This comes as no surprise due to Microsofts short-sightedness, and their greed.

Since we now know so much about the PS5 and next gen console coming from Microsoft, let's start speculating about the PS6 and whether Microsoft will even still be in the console game by that time. My prediction is that VR will be the standard by that time giving us a whole new genre of gaming, led by Sony. The release date of a PS6 should be 2022, based on some graphs I made. It's possible Sony will resort back to the extremely powerful Cell processor for PS5, so Cell 3 may be around for PS6. I hope this is the case given how successful the original Cell processor was for PS3.

I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts of the future based on current projections, and how the distance between Sony and Micro$oft continues to widen.

Ever since PS1, Sony has brought us games and consoles which have pushed the gaming experience past anything we could imagine.

PS1 gave us dynamic analog thumbsticks to navigate an ultra-realistic 3D world

PS2 gave us the Emotion Engine which made you question your own existence

PS3 gave us The Cell which nearly single-handedly broke Microsoft's back

PS4 is just now finally coming around to completely dominating this generation with hyper-realistic games and new Virtual Reality hardware coming within the next year. My bet is Sony will be the company to finally bring us gaming which is indistinguishable from reality - The Matrix if you will. I put my full faith in Sony, and as a gesture of goodwill to Sony, I went ahead and bought a 4th PS4 console this week. Not sure where it's going, or if it will be donated, but it was just my way to advance the human race.
