I just got through Alpha Protocol. I really enjoyed it. Encountered some bug, but I enjoyed the modern day setting and story a lot. The dialog options and choices you make really influence the games outcome.

Pachter is right. There is simply no incentive for Sony/MS to release a new console. Sony is still trying to recoup the losses that the PS3 brought the company. Each PS3 still loses Sony money, a new console would be even worse. MS is still selling a ton of consoles every month which (I believe) actually make MS money. Until the competition is truly pumping out next gen graphics, MS is in a fine position to ride the Xbox 360 as long as it can.
EDIT: Also, a large install base is profitable cause MS/Sony get a cut of whatever games are sold on their systems. A new generation would abolish that.
On a personal note, I have no desire to spend another 600-800$ upgrading my consoles.
Well I've watching the Bad Company 2 Battlefield moments and realise that the sounds in the game are excellent. Does it really sound like that when your in-game?

HDR sound man. Good sound design is a completely underrated aspect of games.
It wouldn't have been nearly as bad if they just put some sorta respawn timer on those damn outposts. Like a week (ingame time) or something. I was really looking forward to FC2..too...
Still I wish they would stop comparing EVERY FPS to MW2! Its getting annoying and Battlefield is a completely different game!Hekynn
That's what happens when you're the king of the FPS world (whether or not you agree). I personally think BC2 will poop over MW2 in terms of campaign and MP (I loved the betas/demos and the MW2 campaign stunk so that should be easy).
I still don't understand how sites can review games so heavily focused on MP a week early. Did the guy even play all the maps? Was it like 2v2 over LAN?
[QUOTE="mr-sheep"][QUOTE="Eddie-Vedder"]You serious? CS:S is the still the 2nd most played game on Steam and on Xfire I think it's still #1. It's a great game but it's old news now dude. If it were released as is today it would have a hard time getting a 7.5. A lot of ppl play it cause it's a good competitive game that'll run on a weak ass pc, which means theres a HUGE install base for it. I'm not hating on CS but the MW2 hate is getting kind of pathetic.lol no. For it's time maybe, now? today? no.

Yeah, it probably would get a 7.5 because it doesn't have a carrot dangling in front of gamers 24/7. It also has a plethora is meticulously balanced guns and recoil. Peeps just can't handle that stuff now.
I would say yes, but I would have to put Blizzard on another level though. They release a game every 100 years, but I'm pretty sure all their games are AAA (Diablo is still the highest scoring PC game here).
