@sleepnsurf: This could have been a relevant comment if you just added, "Sega, don't bother with these games. Bring over other games instead."

I have been curious about the fans of the television series, especially TNG, that have embraced the movie reboots. What part of the fan is appealed?

@illage2: True, PewDieDie was not even specifically mentioned by the FTC in its Complaint or Analysis.

@devak108: Setting straight priorities is important. The FTC has no access to airstrikes though. You can include in your comment other regulatory activities that FTC should pursue before this case. If you feel the FTC should be abolished and resources allocated to the DoD, then that is a comment properly made to your local or state congressional representative.

Here is the link to the Analysis of Proposed Consent Order to Aid Public Comment:

http://federalregister.gov/a/2016-16729

I don't see the point of the Comment Form without knowing the actual proposed order. It's pretty light, not-difficult reading.

I see one thing in the comment that I do not see in the Analysis. I do not see in the Analysis any allegation that WB, PewDieDie, or anyone else falsely advertised a bad game as a good game.

The concept of "next-gen" is confusing me. Are we talking about the hypothetical PS5 and XB-something, the imminent PS4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio, or the already mass market PS4 and XB1?

Titanfall is a multiplayer game, isn't it? I would have thought anyone hard-on enough about the game to dish out $250 for a helmet would want customization options. A blank color palette, something like generic gunmetal gray, with accessories to add your own color scheme and decals.

@Leeric420:How do you know this? The most relevant piece of info I found is this tweet:

If you own #Skyrim and all its add-ons or own Legendary Edition on Steam, you'll get a free upgrade to Skyrim Special Edition on Oct 28 #BE3

— BethesdaGameStudios (@BethesdaStudios) June 13, 2016

It does not say I will get a complimentary copy of a separate game. It does not even say I will have the option to upgrade to Special Edition. I says "you'll get a free upgrade."

Now, it may well be that I will simply have the option to download the Special Edition from Steam to replace my Legendary Edition. That's cool. I will be properly ecstatic if I hear Bethesda publicly announce it. Until a more official announcement supplant the tweet, however, Bethesda can just as easily force all Legendary Edition owners (and other players who own those content) to upgrade to its new version of the game, thus disabling as of yet unknown number of mods. Such an act would not be inconsistent with the tweet.

Hey, I don't want to be cynical. The Bethesda already disabled achievements for Fallout 4 mod users on Xbox One. Certain mods are also restricted. I do not know the story for PC users. I think the weight of evidence is that Bethesda is using the opportunity for mods consoles to rein in control of mods in general. It is a reasonable supposition that it will attempt to bring the PC version in line with its overall policy.

Maybe I am jumping the gun a bit, but complaining about something after it's done is both impolite and infinitely less useful. The rise of DRM following the rise of Steam is now the de facto rule of the video game industry. The backlash immediately following XB1's announcement on its disc ownership policies played no small part in nipping that idea in the bud.

So, not only was my initial complaint time well spend. So is this longer comment.

Very important article. The more I hear about the Skyrim: Special Edition for PC, the less happy I am. I think this is just a cover by Bethesda to bring PC mods in line with console mods by eliminating a version of the game whose mods have grown beyond Bethesda's control.

Can I not update Skyrim on Steam and still play?

[EDIT:] Any free upgrades or revisions or expansions or whatever that is mandatory are so insidious.
