I've played both FIFA and PES/ISS since the mid 90's, FIFA were great from 96 to 2005ish then PES became a great game and then FIFA was really good with 10 but FUT became the downfall from there on. I went from FIFA 10/10WC to PES 2013 then FIFA 14 then 15 and skipped 16 and then 17, 15 was probably one of the worst and FIFA 17 isn't far behind as I only lasted a month with that. Ended up turning back to PES with 2015,16,17 and now 2018. I'm skipping ALL EA Sports games this year, their NHL installation is horrific and Madden is a buggy piece of dog poo and NBA 2K still tops NBA Live (not much of an NBA player).

So for a true sports fan, EA doesn't provide the right kind of gameplay, it's all just shiny flashy stuff to distract from lack of decent gameplay (and the blatant scripting and AI tilting).

FIFA is gradually getting worse, despite improved graphics and presentation- it's shiny on the outside but still a turnd on the inside, it sells due to license and Ultimate Team. PES provides a much better on pitch gameplay, I gave up after a month with FIFA 17 and had a lot of hours with PES 2017. PES 2018 is the winner again this year especially with the improved graphics and PS4 compatible option files on PC.

Been playing FIFA and ISS/PES since the 90s, FIFA before FIFA 15 it was a great series, especially FIFA 10 WC and FIFA 14. But PES since after PES 6 had taken the backseat however with 2015 it has been catching on (although 2013 had phenomenal graphics), hell I still fire up 2015 sometimes on my laptop.

Single player? that's not going to sell.

@HarlemVIP: I remember the old NFL game and Front Page Sports Football, which neither game had NFLPA license but did have team names, was still fun to play.

@draign: I regret getting FIFA 17, I had the same feeilng about its move onto Frostbite but it didn't change the core game, there's not much done to Madden either with the move to Frostbite, it still has the same old crap animations and bugs from half a decade ago. And NBA Live 18 isn't that great, stick to 2K.

I'm a fan of The Get Down, Bloodline and I started watching Marco Polo. The ending of The Get Down's second season left me unsure if they were getting another season or not, I guess they left it as a cliff hanger kind of ending in case. It seems every show I start to like on Netflix gets canned. I'm going to take a wild guess that Luke Cage will get cancelled too.

And through all that, stupid shit Sandler movies keeps popping up.

@jagdedge124: PCARS for XB1 is fine if you have a wheel, with a controller it's a bit troubling but still doable- PS4 and PC versions are fine with controller, so it's a XB1 specific thing.
