I understand the industry is radically different now than it was 15 years ago. I also understand games are significantly more difficult to put together now than they were 15 years ago.
...but man. The frequency at which AAA titles fall flat now-a-days is a bummer. Big title games use to be carefully crafted, though never perfected. You could almost "trust" that a solid developer would put out a solid product.
