I'm way to conflicted about having this be a movie at all to decide if this is even a good thing or not.

@RageQuitter69: Oh agreed, it's not the end all solution to not wasting time/money but it can help, like in my example. I find I typically have fairly unique tastes as well (hate GTA, loved Rage, etc.) but with enough gameplay footage, critic and user reviews, etc. I feel I can make a pretty educated assumption of if I'll like the game or not. I think as long as gamers do not blindly buy games based off of hype and fake trailers we can better control crap being thrusted at us :) This, along with simply having a large backlog already, will have me waiting for a while on Watch Dogs.

@The_Last_Ride: Oh of course you are correct there. I just mean the game chosen will put anyone focusing that much on the numerical value into a rage :)

@lumzi32: And there isn't a single move in KOTOR as OP as Jade Golem.

I like to mix it up as much as possible. I also love alts. Typically in a SP game I end up getting board of one class, making a new save with a different class, then finishing up with the first class.

This move of his is pretty understandable as there are many reasons he would leave. Leaving at a high point (which they certainly are currently) is always a nice thing to do. Perhaps he planned to leave for a while but wanted to make sure the launch was successful (leaving before launch of product is never a good sign) or perhaps he did so well at Sony he got a much better offer from another company. Purely speculation of course, but it's not necessarily a bad thing for him personally.

@RageQuitter69: Hah! Valid point. I always try to keep that kind of thing in mind when reading reviews. I also like to listen to the general consensus of gamers as well. For instance, if you only read the professional reviews of ME3 you'd have no idea you might not enjoy the ending. It was the gamers that brought up that point and so obviously it being at the end of the game took time to realize. If you buy games day one you always run the risk of being disappointed.

@The_Last_Ride: When comparing reviews scores, the last thing you want to do is bring up TLoU with those who put enough emphasis in the numbered score to compare in the first place O.o

Which is exactly what early adopters of a new multi-hundred dollar console want ;)

As for what Randolph explained yeah, no links or discussion of using emulators. They exist and we're cool with discussing them in an academic way but actually claiming to use one or showing others how to do so isn't allowed.

And as for the actual subject of the thread, both consoles are good for the console owners as it proves that their investment can come with a legitimately large bump in graphics. Next we'll start seeing the gameplay side of the bump.

At this point the game is guaranteed to sell extremely well regardless of how good of a game it ends up being. I'm still one to wait for reviews and popular gamer opinion before diving in.
