@fedor: What does it matter where they live or how much money they have? There's plenty of entertainment I can't afford, it doesn't mean I steal it. It's not an apple and they aren't starving.
@se7en1989: I've always viewed it as an entitlement thing. The logic of "it's too expensive/I don't make enough" breaks down extremely quickly if you take it out of the digital world. I can't afford a Nissan GTR but I certainly don't feel I should be able to steal it, nor would I try to rationalize my theft if I did steal one. It's downright childish to use an argument like "I can't afford it" to justify theft of entertainment. This isn't an apple and you aren't starving :)
The stupid Twitch thingy is of course really dumb and unnecessary. That being said, you only have to use it as a download client. Once downloaded you can add it as a non-steam game, you don't need to launch the game with the twitch app. So open it, download, and exit :)
@UrbanMessiah: Oh yeah definitely! While I don't pre-order, this game looks to be a worthy sequel in that it takes away nothing from the first game and instead just adds and refines to it.
@merwanor: I apologize, I'm at work and didn't read your whole comment. HOWEVER I totally agree with your first thought! Apparently good "character design" now-a-days is make person A the good guy but to be edgy/realistic/overt-because-viewers-can't-stand-nuance you also give them some huge flaw.
I can see how they'd remake characters now. This is Bambi. Bambi is a great dude. But Bambi also killed a rabbit when he was younger and he's been running away from facing the truth for a long time now. With Bambi hurtling straight into the dark underbelly of the forest, can our hero survive and face his dark past?
You can have a nuanced and deep character and still keep them above all that crap. That's just lazy writing.
