@Xristophoros: I do not see PS5 in 2019. Why? Because there is no reason for PS5 in 2019; no new chips that i will improve on gameplay, Graphics are at a premium PS Pro is not selling off the shelves with its better graphics, although I have one. It will be better as AI chips are starting to be developed that they will be well suited for Games. Better physics and AI for games sounds a lot better than more of the same games we have been playing since PS2, actually some game mechanics have not changed since PS1 when 3D first games have first came out.
TPU, neuro chips, there are a lot of chips now under development, and in a few years PS5 using somthing a lot better than the Physx chip added to the APU of AMD would be a better way to go than the normal upgrade a new APU would do.
@Eddie619: ....um..... NO... developing, shipping, and selling consoles is not a short term profit vehicle like phones. Sony is selling games and the lower the price of PS4 the more people will buy. What PS 5 game will be beter than a PS4 game? PS3 to PS4 8 years and the difference in GAMEPLAY is not revolutionary! I would say 2022 PS5 launches if they have a chipset that is worth it. By then Only PS4 pro would sell for $200.00 dollars and have huge sales with a huge installed base.
Wow, so much... Too much for a Gamer like myself who loves many different genres. Sure Some will hate on Sony for making games or working with second party developers and keeping those games exclusive (sour grapes?!!), but they love cross plat games anyway as they say; so no big deal?!!
It's just laughable to hear people state that it is not important as they don't like these games anyway. As if that has any meaning, LOL. These games are made because of a following and people who purchase them. It may be a small dedicated community or a mid sized community but Sony is willing to cater to them. Thank Sony for that, or we would have LESS diversity And that's a gamming community that many do not want to take pat in; as seen with sales.
Another great game ti show what can be done in ve getring now with discount on ps store. I have not played this game so its great for me I do get motion sickness after 15bminutes but looks like worth it. I want to be able to plays at most 1 hour.
I have been gaming for a few decades. I PLAY games I'm not an ART critic, I'm a gamer, and when PLAYING games its the Physics that drive me crazy, and the game mechanics that when working well I notice or when really bad stick out. AI at this point all sucks. Level design .... and much more are also important. TOO much FOCUS on how the game looks and not the other aspects of the GAME.
Sony.... Its either Less expensive OR BUNDLES... so put these two together and add some games (1 AAA from last year 4 Indie, Farpoint, and 4 other VR games, and $25.00 dollar in PSN money or 3, months PS+, 3 months PS Vue and 3 Months PS NOW, and there you go for $549.99 dollars and these consoles will fly off the shelf.
Sell more of what you have and more games will sale as well later on. I prefer bundles but not what they call bundles now. Its like a few dollars off the console and picking what game you want.
I was so oing to get The last guardian but other games I needed to complete. So now it is impossible for me to play any where near the games I want to play. I'm still on HZD then there is my never ending games No Man's Sky, Warframe and EVE Valkyrie . Games I play with my kids, VR games. It is difficult to even think of what to get next. while I play the games I have now.
WOW!! looks like another great year for Sony, and gamers. There are people who do not like the games that are exclusive to Playstation. Eben though when past games that they said were not great went multiplat those games seems to have gotten better.
My main problem is that I just do not have enough time in the day to do it all. My work, kids, other fun activities and cleaning.... all take a lot of time. I only have this time as I watch Playstation Experience and decide if I should buy tickets and go tomorrow or just pick up a few more games.
But Beyond Too Human and dreams are a sure buy, with others on the list maybe later. I'm going to buy my Nephew a PS4 for christmas so now we can play a few games together.
At least with Sony SINGLE PLAYER games look like they will have no PROBLEM being made.
I missed out on the $200 black Friday deal and cyber Monday deal. But would have picked it up if there was 3- 12 months of PS+ 3-12 months of PS Now and 3-12 months of PS Now. with some indie and older games, about 10 of them. That would be better than the $200.00 dollar price and Sony gets the extra 100.00 dollars from me. SO now I may have to wait and get my nephew a PS4 when I can get it for that price or say its a X-mas B-day gift all rolled into one. I mean for $50 more I can get him a PS4 Pro.
SONY you need to have bigger and better bundles and then you can sell more in the long run.
