@Elranzer: The crossover between people with 4k TVs and capable PC hardware and who will have that PC in their living room is miniscule. XB1X is the best and most capable 4k console...period. That is how many will be showing off their TVs, cause Xbox will have all the better looking games.
@Elranzer: It's unreleased so it's unknown if it performs same as previous AT Genesis'. Also it says specifically the console supports save and rewind.
@grasu: I might buy this Genesis. Don't have my original. Don't have a PS2. Have the Genesis collection on 360 which matches most of the roms this comes with, but your undervaluing the cartridge slot and other features such as hdmi and 720p output, and built in saving anywhere. An original Genesis can't do any of those things, and I don't want someone else's beat up used like hell 30 year old hardware which isn't going to reliably function, and that I have to buy additional equipment to hook up to my TV for, and it'll look like crap unless I also invest in things like Frameister or an RGB mod.
Only problem I see is I've seen the glitchy emulation of previous AT games Genesis' and would like to know if this is improved emulation.
@khanwashere: They've got it Khan! What say you now? Reportedly it was just down to the 1X using a different wifi adapter than the 1S...no problem at all for Spencer!
@joshrmeyer: Other guy already linked you to credible sources and you still don't want to hear it. It's an unfinalized standard that MS could still be working on supporting so they can't list it as an official feature yet. DF isn't talking out of nowhere and making shit up. And some of this support can be added via software, the point is MS built their hardware with this incoming standard in mind. More displays that support it are of course inevitable and I think just about eliminating screen tearing and judder in games on console that dip below 60fps is a big deal.
@starjay009: You can't tell the difference between checkerboard and native 4k and your a liar if you say you can. And you probably don't own a 4k display anyway. Checkerboard rendering is a technique, that does not make the graphics equal. Pro tops out at 1440 or 1800p on most titles and will never get the 4k textures and assets X1X is.
@computernoises: And a month consists of 4 weeks. Therefore, November is just a few weeks away. You must've missed 3rd grade. If it was 12+ months I wouldn't say weeks.
@Fairmonkey: Your the idiot comparing PC, an open platform you can build yourself, to closed consoles in the first place. It's a really dumb comparison. Even still you can't actually argue any of the fact based points I made that are negatives to PC gaming, cause they're all true. Xbox competes with Playstation, I could give a **** about PC. This article was about consoles, nothing to do with PC.
Who said anything about outselling PS or PC? I never said that. I also don't think the thing that sells the most is always the best thing.
