Will Smith has proven he can be funny in live action roles. Story's been done animated, that it's live action is what makes it new and fresh. People don't want another animated Aladdin. They want the people who grew up on the animated version to come see the live action version just like with Beauty And The Beast, etc
@Celsius765: Williams was 41 when he voiced the role. Smith is 48, but most would say he's aged quite well and doesn't look it. I think he can pull it off, they wouldn't have casted him othewise.
Aladdin and Jasmine actors are basically unknown, they also needed some kind of known, American, star power.

As I said, doesn't mater what Sony does, the release cycle is such that Xbox will have the significant power advantage for remainder of the gen, and whether PS5 is 2019 or 2020, at best Sony will have an 11-12 month power advantage before the next Xbox crushes them in power again. If they go 10 TFLOPS MS will go 13-16, plus make other upgrades as they did with X1X.
You are another Sony fanboy who will defend anything they do and admit no concessions even when Xbox has PS beat in something.
