Dude, I dont know about you, but if I was a woman I'd most definitely not want something that uncomfortable going in any of my *ahem* so I'm a bit sceptical of its success there :P
@Bakaro Its an opinion peice thats sorta the idea. Personally I'd like to see much more editorial content on Gamespot. Although maybe seperating out the news and editorial content in a more obvious way, different look or just a more distinctive header?, might be advisable.
I cant think of a better launch lineup in the last decade than the games coming out with these consoles. Launch lineups are notoriously bad and both these consoles do have exclusives and theres a good collection of third party stuff (watchdogs?) to play even if some of it is coming to current gen altho stripped down or looking a lot less impressive.
People have short memories and just like to complain a far as I can tell... after 20 years of buying consoles at launch this is one of the best for games and the fight between Sony and Microsoft is making things interesting for the consumer as they fight over your attention.
@WhiteTulip1 A big part of it for many people is being part of the conversation. Allot of people are going to be talking about these consoles playing them and not having one leaves you out of that experience looking in... not a big deal but its nice to feel like you're part of things.
Otherwise simply because people are exited for a change finally. its been far to long a generation, look at the preorder numbers and the decline in console sales and rise in PC gaming... all signs of a generation that just ran 1-2 years too long and the audience is bored and really wants to move on.
@DJKrayz_basic Yeah Id really like more info on when thats happening they are still way overpriced on amazon from the looks of it. I'm still making do with 8gb because I wont pay those daft prices.
You reduce the frame rate it frees up resources for other things. Generally most people don't really notice the difference in slower less action focussed games.
Its very likely that 1080p 60fps will become the new standard for FPS and Racing games particularly over the course of this gen as it makes a big difference to the feel of the gameplay. but I'd expect 30fps to stick around in other genres for the foreseeable future.
