hmm its going to depend just how oldschool it actually is... not enough and its going to just feel dated but if they get it right I could go in for a classic feeling shooter if its done well, not many of them about these days.
Gone Home is just spectacular. Its one of those experiences the more I think about it the more I realise how well designed and executed it really is. Such a simple yet powerful concept I really hope that the buzz Gone Home has generated and with the launch of tech like the Occulus Rift this genre could get really interesting.
Extremely impressed and quite touched walking away from playing Gone Home :)
@Bakaro @Manatassix Yeah there could be a better distinction between articles that are news and Editorial content like these opinion pieces. Would help the confusion, I think thats part of why the site needs revamped. The simple addition of Headers to the articles denoting what type of content it is might alleviate confusion for some users temporarily however.

Thats just rude, sorry but you could have worded that less offensively and thought about the fact you are referring to a person who's quite possibly going to see the comment... as evidently happened.
You wouldn't watch someone having a conversation and walk over to them and say "hey you looked cool in this picture but in person you seem dead inside." Seriously?nothing wrong with constructive criticism but it seems like very few people seem to get that every post every comment on the internet was made by a person with feelings, thoughts and motivations we might not understand.
@bsnimunf @Bayonetta2013 @Joedgabe You're playing the wrong Game if you find its dumbed down. I'd totally disagree that games have been dumbed down. The big blockbuster titles have a focus on accessibility etc of course but the games industry is so much more diverse than it has ever been.
If you want brutal hard experiences then they are all out there waiting, heck with the rise of the indie scene you can literally go back and play direct analogues of classic games if you really feel that modern game design standards aren't to your tastes.
People have been saying games are being dumbed down since the early 90's that I can remember. Its just the diversification of the industry making games available to lots of different tastes and play styles. I personally think that people who complain constantly about things being dumbed down just cant cope with the existence and popularity of games that don't belong to the particular style they prefer. Either that or some people just like being grumpy about new things *shrug*
