[QUOTE="ferret-gamer"][QUOTE="Prince_Denspion"]

been lookin into some decently priced RAM on newegg and for 4GB - (2 - 2gig sticks) would throw me for roughtly 70 bucks. CPU will put me at just over 100 for the AMD dual 6000+.

Prince_Denspion

i newegg sell both for lower prices than you lst

cheapest RAM with the specs I need on newegg with decent ratings cost: $40.99

CPU will run me: $89.99

I defiantly say CPU, that will bring the boost in games and general programs. Ram would be better for video editing and alike and even a good cpu is needed above the ram. I suggest ram second, cpu is always more important.

Auh tho i think he is looking at a specific brand. like for instance i don't want to run two different kinds of ram at once anymore because i ran into to many problems, like bsod doing that >.< I find its better not to mix ram. But you won't always get problems....In some cases i'd recommend it if the ram is like 10 dollars, to just try it.

....its not any harder to develop for dx10. But if you were to, you would be aiming at small audience. dx10 is actually easier to develop for and runs better then 9 but, money my friend, you need money, so they aim for the market. That is why developers have been making dx 9 games, larger audience as well they have the option of consoles ports. DX 11 is not any different then 10 other then a few tweaks here and there. What dx 11 makes it a jump from say just being dx10.2 is that a developer can develop a dx11 only game and when a person wants to play it, the game will read the hardware/api architecture make the pipelines to that graphics card, like if its a dx9 card, it will work in dx9, but if its a dx10 card it will use dx 10 and get a performance boost as well as option of extra features. dx11 is really just for developers so they can make dx10 games without worrying about the dx9 audience. dx 10 currently is added to games like crysis, aren't running in dx10, they are running in dx9 with the feature tacked on, making for a large performance loss instead of gain.

MAximum pc has a great guide, but i recommend, for CND's at least, newegg.ca and tigerdirect.ca and only buy when the products are on sale. I think right now some 250 gts are going for 125 right now and 260gtx for 160.

[QUOTE="LibertySaint"][QUOTE="ferret-gamer"]ive seen a blackbird at fry's before. Its really not that small. just a little less than your average mid-towerferret-gamer
Blackbird is EOL, you can't buy it anymore, if you have seen a blackbird recently it was a one of the last then. The blackbird was made a collectors item, not as much as say an Omen, tho. Heck anything from voodoo is a collectors item because its not a case with parts in it, its all custom to make it worth it, and ontop of that the community and support. This the Firebird, not the blackbird. The blackbird was for enthusiasts who wanted liquid cooling, tool less design, excellent thermal control and a kick as design. The firebird is more the blackbirds lil brother. Its good for lan matches and people who have no idea what they are doing with a pc but want a great pc, thats teeni tiny.

ah sorry, it looks just like a blackbird and has the same specs.

lol np :) and roughly the same :P I'm just posting this for pc nubs or some one who just wants to spend money lol XD Idk i thought it was a good deal and felt like some people may be interested, guess not :(
