@varmintx: and even after hearing it twice you still don't get it, which is why you are being labeled a hater.

I don't use microtransactions, i haven't bought a REQ pack with $, and my experience has not been compromised, it has not impacted my experience as you would like to believe. With other games sure, I agree, like the division, you will be locked out of content, but my point is Halo 5 is doing it right (the outlier). I understand why Devs are doing the season pass because they need to recuperate money and make money to continue, like any business, since the $60 isn't enough to sustain high budget games unless they sell millions of copies (GTA5). But, as I've said, Halo 5 is doing it in a way that is much better than most games, no one is locked out of content, everyone has access to all maps, all future updates are free to all who own the game.

I'm trying to spell it out for you but if you're not willing to read then there's no point. You've made up your mind and generalizing all microtransactions from past present and future

@varmintx: Have you played Halo 5 and actually experienced what these "microtransactions" are? Microtransactions as a whole are negative as you've addressed, but there are still outliers in every population, and Halo 5 is one of those outliers. You can write a whole wall of text, but that doesn't make you any less ignorant, especially if you haven't played the game and can only make generalizations based on microtransactions as a whole. How can they talk about the good of their particular practice if people like you are always attacking their actions without knowing exactly what it is they are doing. Each situation is unique, especially in Halo 5's case/

Games have been $60 for a very long time, cheaper for gamers than they have been before, but not cheaper for developers. When microtransactions are done right, like in Halo 5, great. That means game prices won't be raised to match inflation. I haven't spent extra $ on Halo 5 and I am not missing out on any features, I still have access to all the content, including the new maps and weapons that are released on regular updates.

Don't generalize, don't follow another person's opinion blindly, play the game for yourself, experience the system for yourself, then form an opinion. What I've taken away from my experience: If other games did what Halo 5 is doing in terms of Microtransactions, maybe that term wouldn't be such a bad thing.

@varmintx: Halo 5 microtransactions don't affect competitive play modes like Arena and BTB. They only affect Warzones. That being said, I haven't spent extra on Halo 5 and still have gotten a ton of REQ packs by just playing the game. This model of microtransactions is better than most as they only affect one mode and leaves the competitive modes untouched. Additionally, I don't have to pay for DLC maps, so the entire community is together and doesn't get split up when new maps are released. Microtransactions are sickening most of the time, but in Halo 5's case, not too bad.

@demonkingx8 @Zombie8814 It's 30 FPS, but most games are, and they usually play great, as long as the framerate doesn't dip. Devs said in order to get everything on screen on a consistent framerate they made the game 900p.

Forza 5 has drivatars, tuning, real race tracks, decal customization, performance and visual car damage, and it's a sim.. All of that came out a year ago. Not sure you can compare Driveclub to that either. This seems like it should be a a launch game.

@Digisurfer @sampson3121 @uncompetative Don't thank him, he is an Xbox One hater. To say the 360 version and the X1 version look the same is ridiculous. He is either watching crappy youtube videos or is an MS hater and PS4 fanboy. Don't listen to people like this.

I have been playing the X1 version for hours every night, and it's not boring. It has much better graphics, dynamic weather (game looks great in rain), it has drivatars, and it is open world whereas the 360 version has a lot more barriers. The games were made by different developers as well.

Do yourself a favor and watch 360 vs X1 videos and if you can try to play the game at your local gamestop or something. Trust me, the X1 version is much better than the 360 version in every way.

Also, I haven't had the problems uncompetitive had.
