EGS is only good for developers if the revenue matches or exceeds what it would have on Steam. It doesn't, on any level. It trades long-term profit and good will for an upfront bonus. We have yet to see a game release simultaneously on both Epic and Steam, but when we do, I guarantee you that the epic purchases will be dwarfed by Steam's. EGS is a feature incomplete pile of garbage that only gets exclusives by way of poaching. Sooner or later, that'll catch up to them. In the meantime, you can go to hell with shilling articles like this, Gamespot.
@jenovaschilld: Your comments are beyond ignorant and have no basis in fact. By the way, I own a PS4, so your comments about me not getting something before someone else aren't even accurate. However, somebody pays $60 for a game at launch, it is wrong for them to receive less than someone who pays the same $60 at launch on a different console. Same price, less complete package. Now, go troll somewhere else with your fictional, irrelevant "white privilege" trash. That stuff doesn't belong here.
@jenovaschilld: lol ... really? Oh the incense, the ignorant, race baiting incense! "White privilege" I say! - too funny.
That argument that had nothing to do with race, but was an expression of annoyance at inflammatory business practices... oh the incense.
You see how idiotic your comment is? Let's ignore the facts that a) you assumed you knew my race, and b) "white privilege" has absolutely nothing to do with this, unless you think only white people can or do express annoyance over moronic decisions that are generally agreed by the gaming community at large to be detrimental. Do you not understand the concept of differentiation of expression, or colloquial speech?
They're only sorry because the community flew into an outrage and told them to go to hell. There's no regret for what they did, other than the regret that they couldn't get away with it.
