Bought the game for Gamecube when it originally came out. Liked it then and I'd be willing to give it another play. Not buying it for more than $30 max, though. And, for God's sake, give it a damn sequel.
No one should be putting any money forward on this until it's proven that it's a full product. No live services, no gaslighting the playerbase, playable at release without significant trouble. They need to demonstrate that they took the failure of BFV to heart and learned the lessons. There was a time in the past where the goodwill they earned was enough to warrant the purchase of the next title; those days are gone. They need to earn purchases again.
Are you guys going to keep riding FFVII for the rest of the year, or can we expect some other content from you at some point? The game's out, you gave it an inflated score, we know you like it. Move on.
@kabloe: You seem to have misunderstood the meaning of the terms "remake" and "remaster". Remake: They make a game over again using the same story, general environmental design, atmosphere, etc. (RE2 is a great example). Remaster: Upscaling and uprezzing an older game so it looks better for modern consoles (TLoU's PS4 release). This is out of either territory and pushing into a third; the reboot. Reboot: To use an original source as inspiration for telling a story other than the original. This was sold as something it isn't.
@lostanimeswvenge: You have nothing to offer as proof of that. Given that Gamespot's staff has a history of posting braindead articles like this, I doubt it is.
Y'know, as much as I love the SAC sub-series, I cannot bring myself to watch this. That CGI is TRASH. They should have stuck with the art style of the previous SAC stuff.
