Sentience is the ability to feel, to have emotions.  Nothing illusionary about that.  Even if sentience were to be an illusion, the illusion itself would be real together with the emotions that go with it, so it doesn't matter if it's an illusion yes or no since that fact doesn't take away the feelings we experience.

We all dream.  Dreams evoke emotions.  Dreams --although real-- aren't reality.  Does that make the emotions not a reality?

In fact, the question is redundant and also seems to start from the false idea that sentience means intelligence.

First of all, most people who claim to be religious are not.  They confuse religion with church.  Most so-called religious folk follow a church, not a religion.  Most religious leaders don't proclaim religion nor do they want religion to prevail.  All they do is spread the word and views of their church in order to retain power over their flock and to be self-sustaining.  Churches have only one goal and that is to survive, whatever means necessary, whatever the cost among their flock.

Secondly, Atheism is not a religion, though some my claim that; usually religious folk, of course.  A-theïsm: against religion.  Should atheism be a religion, the word wouldn't exist.

JimmyJump, fourth generation non-baptised --except in beer several times; hey!, I'm from Belgium, what do you expect?-- hates only one thing with all his heart and that's organized religion and is fanatically against fanatism...

i have many movies,T.V programs, music and many other files on my 2TB HDD and i'm looking for a good software that can scan my hard drive files and create a index with all the files the HDD have.Do you know any....??

AtariKidX

For music files, there's OrangeCD.  Not free but a mighty interesting program which has a lot of possibilities.

Slightly less impressive but easy to use is Uberview.  has only one version ever released, but it works like a charm.  Also connects with WinAmp when you have that player installed.

For free to use movie organizers, have a look roundabout here...

You did "the-crap-I-bought-killed-my-wallet" build.  Next time, inform yourself properly and *then* buy, instead of the other way round.

[QUOTE="04dcarraher"]Sounds like its your Power supply. BeardMaster

hrmm, will have to test it then. It wasnt hot to the touch and normally when a psu craps out on me the computer just wont turn on at all. So i wasnt aware they shutdown to protect themselves. Then again those psus were alot older, might not have had that feature.

I got a spare in storage i think so i can easily check to see if its the psu. Appreciate the response i was assuming i would need to replace the mobo.

Could be more likely a resistor/transfo problem inside the power supply... those things die a slow death and your PSU will bit by bit give lower wattage...

Hi, I recently bought MSI HD 7790. It requires 500 watt PSU whereas I have 400 watt PSU. I thought it would work. But it didn't. After installing the card when i started my PC, right when the windows was being loaded, PC turned off and after a while it restarted and then again turned off. This card is (PCIe 3.0 x 16) but my motherboard is (PCIe 2.0 x 16). I want expert opinion about this problem. Is it the PSU problem or Motherboard (PCI) problem. My PC's specifications: Intel® Core i3-560 Processor (4M Cache, 3.33 GHz) ASUS P7H55-M LX 4GB kingston xpert ATX 400 watt. waiting for your replies.wasisonu

Yep, PSU is too weak and shuts down the PC when the GPU kicks in.

Let me get this straight.  2 posts about tech in the Hardware section consitutes spam?  Please.  :roll:LordOdin99

It sure smells funny when those are the *only* two posts you made here recently. ;)

Besides, there are people that find how-to's like this useful where the instructions don't adequetaly explain things well.LordOdin99

Sure, but they're most likely on Youtube

If you guys don't have anything contructive or positive to say, then don't bother.  Forum etiquette 101.

If you --besides spamming your YouTube channel-- would have something constructive to say, that would be a nice change :)

How to upgrade my loptop?Shandaash

Better start a new topic in the forum instead of in someone elese's thread.  And please do mention what kind of laptop you have at the moment, because only some high-level laptops have parts that can be swapped... :)
