What has been said about the failure rate of the current Elite 360s? Have past issues been corrected for the newer ones?

I have an original 60gb from release, updated to 3.00 and recently left it on for 2 days straight, it's fine.

Why are people saying it's too much? It's still $60.

The gameplay isn't that great either. Socom 2's gameplay with less people beats the hell out of this.

Far Cry 2, so much freeroaming and guerilla attacks on whatever bases you feel like, whenever you feel like it. Mortar it, rocket it, sneak in with a silenced MP5 or machete and go all splinter cell on those mercs. So many choices....

I got an invite but still can't download the biggest in-game update (2 GB). I got to 75% downloaded after about 2 hrs and then it gave me some dumb error.
